What travelers are saying
- Jonathan J42 contributionsTram rides are available to take visitors around the plantation on a narrated tour. Fresh, locally grown coffee and tropical fruits are for sale here in the marketplace. The site also offers beautiful tropical gardens to stroll through.Written September 30, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jamie LBrockville, Canada287 contributionsIt's a nice little hike with nice views. I imagine the water flowing in the rainy season would look very nice. There are other off-trails you can take to explore more.Written September 23, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Teresa HTemecula, CA20 contributionsIt’s an easy drive from the coast to this hidden stream and swim pools. It was busy when we visited but there were plenty of open picnic tables and parking. It would be a nice place to bring a lunch and enjoy the lush landscape and a little swim.Written July 19, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JoD RZanesville, OH28 contributionsIt was a fun way to spend a rainy day in Maui. It’s not a large center but it was interesting.
We enjoyed the new whale exhibit.Written February 19, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Like in the movie “Hawaii” with Julie Andrew’s. One thing it is not handicapped accessible . It’s on the road to the Iao Needle so you can do both in one trip from your hotel . When this house was built Hawaii must have been a real paradise for those who were able to sail here in an old fashioned boat .Written May 23, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - mwbuddAlameda, CA422 contributionsDid a walkabout of this historic neighborhood and came across this old theater. It is now used as a performing arts center and is quite nice. It has a great history that includes Bob Hope doing USO shows there in WW2.Written March 1, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Stix4848Birmingham, AL202 contributionsNot being a local, but having been to my fair share of street festivals, when our friends who live in Maui asked us to attend First Friday, we were game. I’m glad we took them up on the offer as we had a good time. I know where I’m from we tend to have bigger street fairs, but this is a small town on an island so expect a much smaller venue. There were plenty of food vendors to pick from and while we are both meat eaters, one of our friends is not and there were plenty of vegan options. My fiancé visited “The Corn Project” booth where there were dressing ears of corn in all sorts of “toppings,” he got the Mexican option and it was amazing. There are two sections here for bands to setup. One section I was told is geared towards more local music, when I say local I mean Hawaiian. This ended up being our favorite area as there were multiple hula groups who were performing around the stage. The stage towards the back of the festival had a more mainstream pop cover band, which was also very good. In the area of the second band one will find multiple food trucks, everything from Thai, Mexican to bbq, there were plenty of food options to pick from. There are also a lot of local artisans selling their items. I bought a pineapple lime hot sauce from Hana Farms. Since I’ve been home I’ve put this sauce on tons of stuff. It goes really well on a burger, with a pineapple on a sweet Hawaiian bun. Definitely can’t wait till we’re back on the island next year to visit this little street fair.Written September 13, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Steve SStockton, CA8 contributionsWe purchased the Shabbat meal box... food, wine+kiddish cup, candles for erev Shabbat and Havdalah. The food was more than enough for three adults, for Erev Shabbat dinner, breakfast+lunch+dinner on Saturday... and we still have food leftover.
Salmon, chicken, beef... all delicious. Numerous tasty sides (such as Hummus, Egg Salad, Z'chug, Olive Dip, and several more!)
The quality of the food and obvious talent and love that went into this box was obvious and appreciation.
When we visited, it was rainy afternoon; a tour of the farm was not really possible as it was muddy and Shabbat was quickly approaching.
Rabbi Zirkind was friendly as could be. We would love to return someday and learn more about what is happening here.

It partners with schools to enrich reading through drama. It has produced Broadway-worthy musicals such as Les Miserables, Miss Saigon, Evita, Jekyll and Hyde, and Hunchback of Notre Dame. I can’t wait to see Into the Woods and the children’s production of Lion King (Jr.) this summer of 2018.Written March 1, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
