We swam in secret waterfalls, jumped off rocks into deep rock pools with the local kids, ate at the best burger place on Maui(!!) and said hi to some gorgeous ocean turtles.
This was an overall excellent experience that was family friendly, and genuinely fun-oriented that I would recommend to anyone wanting the most captivating tour of Maui.

Honokalani Black Sand Beach
#3 of 22 things to do in Hana
There's a sea arch just off shore, and as you walk down to the beach there's a private family graveyard that's quite interesting.
The cove is secluded for the black sand beach - a wonderful place for a family outing.

Garden of Eden Arboretum & Botanical Garden
#4 of 22 things to do in Hana
There's peacocks and ducks mostly for kids, a nice bamboo grove with bamboos from all around the world, beautiful trees, flowers, and overlooks, some very nice views of water falls and the valley.
It is also a very easy walk so if you have people who are afraid of heights or children or elderly who aren't as good at the big crazy heights this would be easy and great for them.
Hana Bay Beach Park
#10 of 22 things to do in Hana
The surroundings are family oriented as there are picnic tables and small area to BBQ on charcoal grills.
Take time to stop and enjoy... bring your picnic lunch... great safe beach for kids... no waves as it is a protected harbor... local fishermen and families come here as well as visitors... not really advertised......

Here I was able to wheel her right up to a picnic table shaded area adjacent to the falls so she could enjoy watching other family members swim in the pool of water beneath the falls.
My kids, walked across the rocks and stayed in the shallow area while I swam out to go under the waterfall.
