Easy to fine and inexpensive. Good for families or just couples interested in history. Lots of reading and walking. Detialed history of facilty and inmates. Able to enter a couple of prison cells

The views are amazing. The photos here do it justice. We drove the Snowy Range Scenic Byway, stopped at the Libby Flats Observation area for 360 degree views of the Medicine Bow Mountains, the Sierra Madre Mountains, Mt. Zirkel Wilderness, Rocky Mountain National Park, and the Laramie Mountains.

This tour is well worth your time. The horses are beautiful, and we loved watching them interact with each other. They were not afraid of the tour vehicle and seemed to be as curious about us and we were of them. It is obvious the care takers are passionate about the horses and are very knowledgeable. Our tour guide, Shad, provided so much information about the different horses and the program that helps these fascinating creatures. Shad is very knowledgeable, personable and interjected humor along the way. We hope to go back again.

What an amazing morning exploring and climbing on the rocks. Our family, with three kids between the ages of 7 and 11, had a blast. There seem to be endless bouldering opportunities for all skill levels. It was peaceful and beautiful on this August weekday morning.

We were in the town of Laramie visiting and wanted to see the campus of Wyoming. We walked around, toured the grounds, saw the curriculum of what they offered and even went to the football stadium and looked around. Tucked away in the close proximity to downtown, its a good fit for a lot of students wanting to get a great college education.

We Visited the Ivinson House a few weeks ago on a nice Wyoming trip and were thoroughly please with the guided tour. We had a young man take us around this nice mansion and show us all the rooms, showers, kitchen and library, and children's rooms. The home was built back at the last turn of the previous century and was way ahead of its time. There is a small fee to enter, but it is well worth it.

Anyone coming and going thru Laurie on route 80 can not miss this. Nice stop with information regarding items to do in the area as well as information regarding the statute and why it is now located here.

Small but great little gem in this college town. It is free! Not as many fossils as I thought but still very informative.

Our docent was wonderful as she took us on an hour plus tour of the mansion. We learned a lot of history about Laramie. This is a great place for children to visit. While it is "A hands off/Do not touch" environment, there are many items that the docent explains that wiill fascinate kids.

Love Laramie and visit yearly, if possible. Many changes in town since long 4 year miss. New businesses and dining opportunity. My only dislike in this town is having to dive a heavy duty truck around town. Street are terrible, like riding a bucking horse and entry to most business turnoffs will shake a persons fillings out. The people are friendly and helpful and never treat me like an outsider.

Really fun going around Laramie looking for all the murals. You can drive around and catch many of them in 30 minutes or take an hour or more to really look at them. Too bad so many are in back alleys--they'd look better without garbage cans in front of them. They are really well worth seeing anyway, though.

5 stars for effort, friendliness, quirkiness. Small art museum, maybe 20-30 minutes of viewing; but check the rotating exhibitions because you might get lucky with Western artists/photographers who aren't widely known and who might have some unique interpretive artwork. Beware the usual Western art from the early to mid-20th century in which artists "represented" the Old West with no clue what that meant. Look for paintings/portraiture from the 1800s. The lobby off the Loggia had a fun exhibit of old-time women's fashion designed and presented by U. Wyoming fine arts students. Tappan rare book is worth a look; we got to turn the pages of wonderfully illustrated books published during 1500s-1600s. (Had some amusing mythology depicting 60-foot crocodiles and 9-foot tall "natives.") Pair this heritage center with the outstanding Geological Museum on campus and you've got yourself a memorable and educational break from the road. Oh, it's all free. Donations welcome.
