What travelers are saying
- Mike GSwisher, IA13 contributionsHad a great time with the kids (11 &17) hiking the park's trails. One of the trails had us walking along the cliff Lake Michigan. The water breaks over rocks, creating natural caves. A few waves were large enough to give us a spray all the way to the top of the cliff.
The second trail took us into a natural woods setting where we treated to a variety of wild flowers.Written June 19, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The experience starts with an interesting video then an elevator ride to near the top of the old lighthouse. We enjoyed the views from the tenth-floor outdoor observation deck. Each floor on the way back down is dedicated to a specific aspect of maritime history. A little exercise for body and mind.Written August 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Jerry DLake Villa, IL6 contributionsA beautiful sanctuary. We enjoyed our walk-through the various gardens. - Emilie PMilwaukee, WI121 contributionsThis is the best place ever. I have always dreamed of holding a baby goat. These goats are very friendly. I love that they allow kids to feed them their milk and corn. It was also very reasonably priced for the tickets, bags of corn and milk. Will definitely make this an annual stop.Written July 25, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- JASOwatonna36 contributionsLong time friends & I stopped here by chance. (We were actually enroute to a different winery). We loved it at Door Peninsula Winery! Who could beat free tastings! Great selection of wines & also other items such as fudge, oils, etc. There is also a distillery. Large outdoor patio as well. The staff was also fun & friendly.

It was such a stunning view! The staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and made you feel like family. The owner was also present and took the time to talk to us. The overall experience was excellent and the wines were great too! I convinced my family to stop and they were hesitant after having a horrible experience at Stones Throw. We’re all glad we stopped and walked away with lots of wine because we were happy to support an amazing business and their great employees. We highly recommend this place and it should be one everyone’s list of stops!Written May 20, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Lisa S62 contributionsWe got lucky and got to meet and watch the artist in action at the gallery. Such unique, beautiful, and complex pieces. Saw more of her lovely pieces at Plum Gallery, too. - JoeSaint John, IN30 contributionsOutstanding museum for those who enjoy nature and historical artifacts. The diorama at the entrance was truly stunning! The display of the animals and birds was masterfully presented. The rest of the museum had old artifacts and were extremely well displayed. If you like museums then don't miss this one.

- STARWiscRacine, WI42 contributionsSuch a surprise! We stopped here by chance before our door county trip - and I am so glad we did! The place has a wealth of information and the lady at the front desk was VERY helpful and guided us really well. I expected some maps and information you can find on google but never expected them to have a list of things one can do on a rainy day or a list of vegetarian and vegan friendly restaurants by each major township! If you are visiting Door County, start at this welcome center!Written October 13, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MLSMilwaukeeMilwaukee15 contributionsEnjoyed two (each) wine flights. Have some
Goodies considering the location. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Their patio is nice but on a major hwy so it’s not as peaceful as one would hope.Written July 26, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
