I have done this activity now three times. The falconers are pleasant and experts. The owls are my favorite to interact with. I will do this activity again when I return later this year.

Part of our day trip to Greenbrier included a tour through the government relocation bunker. One of America’s best kept secrets for over 30 years. Our docent was a very informative person and made it all the better. One stipulation for the 1.5 tour was that all cell phones & electronics had to be left at the entrance to bunker in a secured locker, so consequently no pics were allowed to be taken. Certain areas were a little cool, so a light jacket might be beneficial if cold-blooded. If history is you interest, especially if during cold war era, you’ll find this a worthwhile adventure.

Private Casino for Greenbrier Guests Only. Includes Tables, Slots, Bars and Night Club. Not a big slot selection but it may be due to time of year?

Blue Bend Recreation Area is great! It has a big swimming area. The water is really cold! Nice little beach area. Trails. Picnic areas.

We decided to do all the activities offered. Both of us made paperweights and glasses. I made a fused glass wind chime. The personal instruction was exceptional, very hands on and easy to follow. Wonderful experience. I would do this again.

Great, easy stop along I-64! Restroom facilities were clean, overlook directly next to parking lot offered a scenic view of the mountains and valley, etc.

I had a wonderful relaxation massage at the Salt Spa. Megan was my therapist and she was amazing! Best massage I’ve had, she really took her time and focused on all my tension. The atmosphere is so calming and everyone was so friendly.

Nice, unassuming store. A variety of products ranging from t-shirts to logs you can use for projects. Also lots of locally made items as well as offerings from Case knives and Zippo lighters, which we enjoyed seeing as they are made near where we live.
The young lady working had the most wonderful, friendly dog with her the day we visited that added another layer of joy to the visit.
So glad we finally made it.

Fun course in good shape. Fairways narrow with well protected greens ( deep bunkers ). Greens roll well but are tricky.

Enjoyed the course, in great condition . It is challenging with long ruff and large greens that are well protected. Greens though are too slow ( surprising for a PGA tournament course )

The green fees are too high !!!!!

Great Chocolates beautifully crafted in house. A nice stop. In the lobby shops at The Greenbrier. Look through the glass in the back and watch the Chocolatier making delicacies.

On a recent trip to the Greenbrier, we each booked massages and facials. Upon entering the spa area, we were greeted by ladies who checked us in and introduced us to a lady in waiting. She took us to the large changing area and provided us with new robes and flip flops. She also gave us our lockers and took us to an open and comfortable relaxation area.

We were able to relax until it was time for our services. Each of us commented how relaxing the massages were and how professional the staff was. The rooms were private and had heated beds for both services. Once we were finished we were given flavored water and taken back to the relaxation room where we all enjoyed talking about our experiences.

Cute little tiny house with some great pieces of art...most teeny tiny too! Worth the visit! May find something really cool if collecting dollhouse supplies or just little knick knacks for that special spot in your home.

My wife and I found the Falconry activity simply outstanding. Strongly recommend it to anyone staying at The Greenbrier Resort. Adults and children alike. Unique snd educational experience. You won’t regret it.

Very informative and interesting experience. We went on the tour on a Monday morning at the 11 AM tour. They called just as we were arriving at the Greenbriar asking if we could change to a different tour - could not at that late date! Our tour went on as scheduled with only 3 of us. There was a large convention and they had another tour group at the same time as our small "public" tour. We were able to park across the street from the Greenbriar entrance near the train station and a shuttle bus took up directly to the hotel entrance. I had not seen this information anywhere in the information on the website. There was a good bit of walking involved but nothing difficult and very few stairways. There was one are the guide said was 20+ steps down and then back and we could choose to go or not and we elected not to do that part. FOr one part of the tour they do not allow any phones etc. (they provide a locker) The tour lasted about 90 minutes and we saw the senate and house meeting and living facilities, the storage areas, the cafeteria, the huge "blast doors" to seal the area, and much more. The stories of how the area was constructed, kept secret for so many years, and then dismantled were fascinating. I felt it was worth the fee. We enjoyed lunch in one of the hotel restaurants after the tour and explored the public areas of the Greenbriar before taking the shuttle bus back to our vehicle.
