Snowshoe Mountain Resort
#1 of 20 things to do in Snowshoe
On top of the great skiing, the kids loved Split Rock Pools (indoor/outdoor pool with slides) and The Big Top (Eurobungy, bounce houses, video games).
From the lake filled with paddle boards, kayaks and an inflatable area the kids had to be pulled out of the water to experience the off road segways, RZRs and multiple hiking and biking trails.
Village at Snowshoe

We were lucky to have a clear sky! Looks like a really fun place for families to visit in Winter!
Split Rock Pools
#3 of 20 things to do in Snowshoe
Split rock's outdoor hot tub is my favorite, the kids like the indoor/outdoor pool but it's too cold for me.
The indoor area is great for kids, and you swim under the window, and are outside in a large pool.
Snowshoe Mountain Tubing Park

Great fun for the family even for Grandma and Grandpa both flying down the hill
Lots of kids with family but also lots of adults too.
Shavers Lake & Lift Rides
#5 of 20 things to do in Snowshoe
There were all sorts of activities for children of all ages, including paddleboards, canoes, kayaks, swimming, bocce, and fishing.
They have all kind of water sports at the lake, canoes, kayaks, stand up paddle boards, and a family friendly water confidence course.
The Big Top

Green Bank Observatory Green Bank 9.7 mi away
#1 of 2 things to do in Green Bank
The highlight is certainly the Green Bank Telescope (or GBT, aka Great Big Thing), whose saucer is the size of 2 football fields, but the kid-friendly museum is worth a visit, as well as the soft-serve ice cream.
She was a very informative guide explaining things in detail; especially the quiet zone and far this goes outsde the immediate area This would be great place to visit the Kids.
Cass Scenic Railroad State Park Cass, WV 4.7 mi away

Photo ops galore and a delight for children, and adults, to take one of the trips up into the mountains.
Loved the entire experience...a little pricey for families at about $80 a person for the trip up to the top of the mountain (6 Hours Roundtrip).
Durbin and Greenbrier Valley Railroad - Cass Scenic Railroad Cass, WV 4.7 mi away
#2 of 2 things to do in Cass
One suggestion: little kids and folks with sensitive ears might want to wear ear plugs.
Any of these trains would be a great family experience together.
