- Catherine SBeaverton, MI90 contributionsNot much to review. The location was beautiful and the center had quite a bit of information. We just made a brief stop here.Written October 17, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- ERA444Atlanta, GA113 contributionsThe Discovery Center is a small, national building located at the bottom of Seneca Rocks, which allows a picturesque, panorama view looking up at the rocks. After a longish driveway through a field, there was free parking and then a short walk to a little gift shop, learning center, and clean restrooms. They take cash donations. This place reminds me of how fun road trips were back when times were simple and welcoming.Written October 23, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jean RBaltimore, MD1 contributionThe store was clean and organized. The employees were polite and helpful, but most everything was extremely expensive.Written March 11, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - swtravelBath465 contributionsgreat hike up to the platform & wonderful view. The trail is a bit rocky. I think the elevation is 800' but it was gradual.Written September 30, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JenniferandAlanEaston, PA714 contributionsMy husband and I have been visiting Spruce Knob/Seneca Rocks areas for years and we finally decided that this was the time we would visit the Sites Homestead. Since we visited in October, there was no guide so we couldn't enter the house but we did walk around the house and the gardens. There were still a few flowers and plants in the herb garden and there were signs to tell what vegetables were planted. The gardens reflect what people grew at that time. It was worth the visit. We had the place to ourselves! The house is typical of houses built by German settlers in the valley. It began as a single room log cabin built by Jacob Sites in 1839 and was added on to as the family grew and prospered. You can reach this easily by a path from the Discovery Center or you can drive to it. There is a parking lot there. Don't miss this--it is a nice break from hiking. :-)Written December 14, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
