What travelers are saying
- Victora GTucson, AZ191 contributionsAbsolutely beautiful scenery and kind locals. Very tragic and interesting history of the strawberry festivals and the Japanese gentleman who started the seasons of strawberries. The temperature was cool and the air was fresh, clean, and the cedar and pine tree scent. A welcome change from 110 degree Arizona. Peaceful kayaking and so many birds and seals. Very dog friendly area and refreshing for the spirit. Easy ferry ride from Seattle. We had a wonderful time! A dream come true.Written July 1, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- vaca32boston, MA273 contributionsDrove the Park and walked along the beach to the light house. Beach is all round smooth rocks, no sand. There is a ton of drift wood that the kids spent quite a while climbing on. Very peaceful watching the sound and the ships go by.Written September 2, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sherri EIndianapolis, IN34 contributionsMy husband and I did a tasting on a Saturday and had a wonderful experience. Sampled several wines and bought three bottles, all of them delicious. - nicolelynn761Tacoma, WA52 contributionsVery inexpensive and fun if you are on Vashon, there are great products as well. Beware no bathroom so go in town if you need to before visiting. - Bethelyn BWashington21 contributionsThe views were beautiful! I stopped a few times to simply admire the mountain across the way. I am not sure how close I got to the beach, since I had a call to return to pick up my husband. Going down is so much easier than going back up. Thankful for the switchbacks as it is rather steep. I would love to do this hike again when I have more time.Written October 28, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - NicolleFlogSeattle, WA32 contributionsWe were going to go wine tasting but when we saw we could cider taste locally we decided to try this instead. The tasting room is beautiful with big windows overlooking a classic PNW view of an small old barn and sheep. Big sofa and lots of tables for sitting with puzzles, and books. The tasting itself was reasonably priced ($10) and we thoroughly enjoyed all the ciders we tasted. Knowledgeable staff and delicious cider. We bought a bottle and would definitely come back.Written March 1, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - cohomanSammamish, WA1,976 contributionsMy family took our car over the island via the ferry on Memorial Day. The cost for the ferry ride was expensive ($36 for our car, $5.55 for me and $2.75 for my son). But, the return ride back was at no additional cost. The ferries were fairly new and the ride was a short 20 mins. It was so short, we didn't get out of our car.Written May 27, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Andrew BTumwater, WA1,422 contributionsBike in a tree. Great photo opportunity. Otherwise, not as beautiful as many other parts of the island.Written November 2, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- macramzTacoma, WA110 contributionsMy boyfriend And I went for a tasting. Amazing whiskey, great gin and vodka. We’ve been back and ordered more whiskey and a great coffee liqueur. My boyfriend used to drink Makers Mark & days this is way better.Written April 23, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kevin GNew York City, NY1 contributionI spent a solid 1.5 hours learning about the history of the island and e noting the Japanese American exhibit. First time on the island and definitely surprised me with how much history and culture is on this island. Staff is very friendly always there to answer questions. I will definitely recommend! Also, there is no admission fee!

Prices are fair and the staff is very knowledgeable about the artists, their work and techniques. Not to be missed.Written October 26, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Jeff GVashon, WA57 contributionsYes. This was Sea Breeze Farms. And Yes this is still sort of called La Boucherie. But it's no longer owned by Sea Breeze farms and, while they haven't changed the sign, it's more or less an unnamed restaurant. It's no longer the farm to table dinner and it's actually very reasonably priced.
On weekends they offer a brunch with most items around 12.95. It's seasonal food but they generally offer a benedcit of some kind, roasted vegetables, some sort of ShakShuka or grits. They also have a croissant plate with proscuito and cheese.
They make all their own pastries and the croissants are really great. The Shakshuka is always good; one version had fresh oysters. They also make their own lamb sausage and eggs.
Despite being on a parking lot, it's a very friendly and comfortable place to ejoy brunch. They will be offering beer and wine starting in April once they work out the liquor license from the change of owernship. They also have a patio which, should open once the weather gets better.
I genuinely hesitated to review this, because I don't welcome the potential wait for a table once tourist season starts. But it's really a nice place and I want to see them do well.Written March 12, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We brought home 2 bottles and have not been disappointed... One staff member was super friendly and the other was kinda cold and rude, so this rating is based on the great product and the staff member with better people skills.Written March 5, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JaniceSeattle, WA32 contributionsThis place is warm and welcoming, with a wide variety of unique, well chosen items including art, ceramics and clothing, I especially loved the jewelry selection.Written January 5, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Adam SVashon, WA516 contributions60-acre forest with multi-use trails for walking, mountain biking, and horses. Trails are generally flat but there are a couple of steeper sections. Look for the beautiful pasture area when you first enter the preserve. Parking is by the side of the road.Written June 4, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
