This was our first stop after landing at SeaTac. We arrived in the evening and ran into another party of 3 who were leaving as we arrived. Other than that, we only saw one other man who was yelling and pacing in a different part of the cemetery. He left and then we were alone. It is a very serene place in a lush suburb. Totally worth visiting and the rest of the cemetery is interesting too. Jimi lives on!

Coming from the Jersey Shore I find most other beaches to be underwhelming... But this was a great place to spend a few hours after visiting Jimi Hendrix grave (5 mins away). Beach area, playground for kids and area to have a nice walk.

We went to see the tribute to Jimi Hendrix. The cemetery is easy to find, and is located next to a McDonald's. It appeared to be very well cared for. A lot of nationalities were buried there, so it's very diverse. I really liked this one Asian gazebo that had running water near it near the Jimi Hendrix Memorial. That was very peaceful. The Jimi Hendrix Memorial is a focal point of the cemetery. It's a gazebo, has his signature engraved in it, a guitar, a self portrait etched in the stone, and some other stuff. There is a round about that goes completely around the memorial, so if you have mobility issues, or just wanted a photo opp you wouldn't even have to leave your car. It appears that it would be a good place to take a walk, or have as a final resting place.

We don't have many outdoor pools in the Seattle area. This pool was great. They have 2 curvy slides, small lazy river, a shallow area for youngsters, a wave pool and a separate lap pool. There were plenty of lifeguards. We had a fun evening with friends.

Was looking for an easy place to launch a paddleboard or kayak. After trying other places in Renton, I have found the Cedar River Trail Park's launch to be the best. It is just west of the Boeing plant and provides quick access to Lake Washington. The road loops around and the launch is near where the loop meets.

The Renton School District offers public swim lessons. I enrolled my preschooler, who loves it. He's one of five 4-year olds to one instructor. The first day, the preschool instructors had an assistant instructor. The instructors I have observed are very attentive, supportive, and incredibly patient with the kids. I appreciate the extra lifeguards who hover over the pool. Also like how the parents/guardians must watch from the mezzanine instead of crowding the sides of the pool. My only complaint is the temp of the water -- it seems to be inconsistent and often on the colder side.

We saw the play "To Kill a Mockingbird" at this theater recently. This production was incredibly well-done - we were impressed with the caliber of acting and wonderful emotional storytelling. The theater is located in an interesting area, with small businesses up and down the street, I believe it used to be an old movie house. The box-office is outdoors, so if there's a line, it snakes down the sidewalk, fine if the weather is decent ;-). The lobby is quaint, the concessions are well-priced and they have wine and beer. Its an old building with an old feel, but personally, I found it charming, except for the seats...some seemed OK, but they definitely could use an upgrade - my seat had lost its padding, and squeaked when I moved (I'm an average-sized person). The size of the house seems just right for a community theater, though not sold-out the day I went, the theater felt full and the energy from the audience seemed to feed the production in a positive way. I sat in the back and could hear very well - even though they didn't seem to use microphones for this show - I saw hanging mics above the stage, so I'm guessing they use them for their Musicals. Happy to now know about this theater, I will definitely return for another production. If you go, do not park at the lot nearest to the theater, it is owned by other nearby businesses and they tow :-( However, there is plenty of free street parking and one of our favorite Vegetarian restaurants, Blossom, just around the corner from the theater.

Small but interesting little museum. Only 5$ donation I think. Could be updated. More on American Indian history.

The park is large and clean, has its own parking, a ballfield, a playground, and a nice field. It's a great spot for a picnic or a place to bring kids. It's not immediately near much of anything, though, and that's the only thing it suffers from in my opinion.

Great for walking, great for picnicking. Incidentally, the Green River Trail passes right through it, which is absolutely perfect for biking, jogging, or a leisurely stroll. Has its own free parking and a couple of signs about local wildlife and history. Nothing complex about this place, just a great way to spend a bit of an afternoon.

The hotel across the street recommended the casino for a late night meal. It was conveniently located and still making food at 11pm so that was perfect. We both had the cheeseburger and fries. The patty was from frozen and was just okay. We were really hungry so the food went down easy. The service was friendly. A lot of locals were there. There are only tables and no VLTs. Felt like a neighborhood casino and we felt welcomed and not out of place.

This was my first time here and I would highly recommend coming
    here.

This store located in downtown Renton has much to look at and many interesting items which you will want to examine further.
There are many knickknacks and masks, weapons such as knives, appliances, furniture, signs, even some larger full wall pieces.

The shopkeeper was extremely knowledgeable and friendly and engaged me in conversation about some of the pieces I was interested in even though she knew I was not going to buy most likely.

The interior of the store was clean and the antiques had all been dusted.
