- Swayne E1 contributionThis is a bonus to a road trip through the area. Not a destination. Itās free!!! To those of you with negative comments. Doesnāt have to be free and open to the public. So big shoutout to owners. Stopping here and at Bonniville to see sturgeon break up road trip to the Coast. Free and entertainment.Written November 2, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Bob SOlympa, WA141 contributionsDomaine Pouillion makes our favorite Rhone-style wines--every bottle is a treat. We have been buying their wine for several years and sharing it with friends and family. Domaine Pouillion is a family-run winery that makes sure every bottle and every visit is a wonderful experience. The winery has now opened a tasting location in Lyle where they also serve snacks to go with their wine. We have wine shipped to us and to friends and family and the service is excellent. The staff is always helpful. When in the Gorge, make a stop at Domaine Pouillion.Written March 19, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - GrammacyndeeIndependence, OR9 contributionsBeautiful small winery with great wines. We stopped by at the spur of the moment, no reservation and were warmly welcomed. The wines were very good and the atmosphere so peaceful. The girls who worked there were very nice. They came back several times to see if we were enjoying ourselves. We liked every wine we tasted. I asked to taste one of the wines not on the flight menu and they gave us each an additional complimentary tasting of the Malbec. I highly recommend you visit this winery. You wonāt be disappointed.Written September 27, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Greer Curry3 contributionsI love this setting. About 30 years ago my husband and I about bought the house that's part of the winery. I've been here when it's chilly and they bring out heaters and blankets. I've been here in the summer when it's hot and the umbrellas are quite nice - there's lots of available water. The wine here is quite good!! The price seems a bit more than others in our area, though. I'm always a bit confused about where to pay for our wine, but this is a small issue, I suppose. Syncline is worth a visit for its beautiful setting and tasty wine.Written August 12, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Blaine AHillsboro, OR115 contributionsFrom the parking area you have two choices. On the river side of the road you can wander the paved trail all around the lower part of the scenic area. However, if you are in the mood for a 2 to 3 mile hike, begin through he gate on the North side of the road. We go several times a year because the views are always spectacular and the flowers are always changing.
Several notes of caution are in order, the area abounds in poison oak so be sure you can recognize it and stay away, there are rattle snakes at times so carry a walking stick to keep them at a distance. Finally, there are ticks so be sure to wear gaiters or put your socks up over your pants legs to keep the little critters at bay because they can carry diseases with them if they bite you. The hike is as strenuous as you want to make it but the first part is always a climb up hill. The good part is that it is all downhill on the way home.Written April 14, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Adams Chamber Visitor CenterWhite Salmon, WA33 contributionsI am not one to be out there on the water, however I love watching the acrobatics and skill of the water sailors doing their thing. The colorful sails and busy movements on the waves are fascinating to observe. Good parking. Nice beach.Written March 22, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- GrammacyndeeIndependence, OR9 contributionsI bought a Groupon to visit this winery. It was for a barrel tasting and a bottle of wine. The ad showed a beautiful wine cave setting. I called and made a reservation to visit. We drove 40 miles to the winery and when we arrived we found a run down shed with old cars and debris everywhere. At the entrance to the tasting room there was a barrel of wine oozing juice with yellow jackets swarming every where. The smell of sour wine was awful! The door was open but no one was there. I called the number I used to make the reservation three times with no answer. We left. I hate to give poor reviews but it was awful! I paid Groupon $90 for a barrel tasting for 2 and a bottle of wine. Do not take the time to stop here and definitely do not drive 40 miles to visit!! I would give it zero stars if I could. I wish I would have taken pictures.Written September 27, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Baxter451Honolulu, HI80 contributionsA suprisingly good stop at the end of a day of wine tasting. The tasting room is small and plain, but more than made up for by the enthusiasm of Kelly, the winemaker, who hosted the tasting. The flight included all of her nine (!) wines, capped off by her 2015 Nucleation, the most interesting and unusual Chardonnay-based wine I have ever tasted. Well worth a visit.Written May 28, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
