What travelers are saying
- Sophia HDaytona Beach Area, FL5 contributionsIt was really cool learning about the reindeer and being able to experience them up close! Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Tons of photo ops everywhere. Clean and very professional.Written January 12, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - shohlerTroutdale, OR38 contributionsDefinitely worth the experience! Our sleigh driver was very informative and Mike and Marty were some of the best Belgian horses. If in the area would recommend doing this, the view and ride is gorgeous with some delicious apple cider to stay warm.Written January 14, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - m0m0f3Boston, Massachusetts49 contributionsThis was a wonderful walk/hike. It is long enough to be a hike, a little over 4 miles, but it is easy with very little elevation gain. The walk is mostly along the river. There were many rocks along the river to climb on and explore if you want. There is a picnic area and pit toilet about 3/4 of the way around (we went clockwise). We loved this hike.Written August 1, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Brown_SamanthaKennewick, WA1,829 contributionsWe accessed the nature trails near the Blackbird Lodge and Post Hotel, just a short walk from there (crossing the bridge). The walk along the river front is very flat and wide, easy for any ages. Saw lots of dog walkers and bikers. Came across a doe.
There is a man made pond that is not particularly clean. No wild life. The trails are very shaded, great for a hot summer day. We watched some standup paddleboarders come down the river. You could easily walk for hours here. Very nice break from all the shop browsing downtown Leavenworth.
There is no parking nearby, but public parking is a short walk away. No entrance fee to the park.Written June 6, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. As a big fan of the movie who knows the words to most of the songs, I enjoyed this live performance and how the actors interpreted the characters and learning more about the characters, such as Max, then I did in the movie. It is really special watching the family escape to the mountains and being surrounded by mountains and trees. A really nice touch was the actors who used the stairs quite a bit to enter and exit the stage such as for the nuns or Maria leaving.
If you sit in the area where the actors will be entering and exiting (the main aisle), you cannot put anything next to your seat if you have an aisle seat, everything needs to be tucked completely under, as a precaution to prevent the actors from tripping over anything even though they did not come that close.
The music and sound system are great, so you can clearly hear the lines and the songs and the music.
There is free parking in the field. A free shuttle is offered to anyone who does not want to walk up the hill to the theater. It leaves you off by the Porta Potties, then there is another little hill leading up to the seats. The walk up actually was not too bad. I stopped once by the lodge to take in the view and then continued.
Bring a $1 to rent a cushion. It is worth it.
Kudos to the performers, singers, and crew who made this play so wonderful. I would see it again next year, it was that good.Written August 29, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We had the Woodland Goddess, Grenache, Cabernet & Syrah. ALL GREAT WINES!Written January 10, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Whiskey R19 contributionsGreat atmosphere, great service, good vibes all around. The beer is fantastic, with something for everyone’s taste. The water bowls are clean and the water is crisp. Icicle Brewing is more that dog-friendly, they are dog family.Written October 9, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Selina WVancouver, Canada45 contributionsThis is our first time in Leavenworth, and this park is gorgeous! It's freezing and super icy, haha, but the view is just amazing! Lots of people come in spring, but you should totally try it in winter sometime. You won't regret it!!Written December 5, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- JenBellingham, WA113 contributionsIt’s partially shaded, well maintained trail, and has pretty views on the way up. The summit view is the best in Leavenworth! There’s a lot of switchbacks! It was about 5 miles, over 1800ft elevation gain and took me 2.5 hrs, but I ran down a ways on the way back. My husband couldn’t make it to the top though. I would say it’s med-hard to hard. If you don’t regularly exercise (I sure don’t!), you can probably do it, but it’ll take a while and you’ll be sore the next day, but you’ll feel accomplished and see the summit views! Everyone I saw was young and/or in a good shape. There was a couple in there late 50s early 60s killing it, so don’t don’t yourself; it’s worth a try!Written September 10, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - dennymasSpokane, Wa221 contributionsMy daughter and I wanted an easy-ish trail to walk and this was a pretty good one. It has interesting history which makes it fun. The river wasn't very high but was still pretty. The trail was mostly shaded and dry. Considering it was August, it was pretty green. Once we hit the end, we turned around and made it back to the car. In all it took a bit over an hour and was very nice to be out in nature.Written August 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
