What travelers are saying
- Ron PLongview, WA565 contributionsPrior to a trip from Washington State to Montana to visit our son & his family, I searched Trip Advisor for things to do along along the 3 routes we were offered by our map app. This type of attraction was very popular during my youth. This was the winner: Hands down. Everything & everyone there was wonderful. Molly as a standout. I needed some extra help and she went above & beyond to assist me.
The cost of a single ride is quite modest when you consider its duration and the grandiose scale of everything. Discounts are given for multiple coin quantities in one purchase.
My son & his family will be visiting us at summer's end. I am going to try to persuade him to stop along the way to allow our 2 year old granddaughter to experience this wonderful place. May it keep pleasing people for generations to come.Written July 10, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Walk, relax on benches, plenty of open grassy space, but big beautiful trees, too. The Columbia River is right there, too, and a playground in the park. Bathrooms, parking, free.Written August 20, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Lawro2112Hitchin, UK32 contributionsThe outside pools are really moving and alongside the new tower give a real sense of the size of what happened. The exhibition inside is spacious and well presented. It was appropriate for our kids who we felt needed to understand the event. There is a separate 45 minute site inside which it recommends kids stay away from with more detail about the attacks themselves. Decent value and we booked tickets online as we stood in the queue to save time.Written August 5, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - PreBettySeattle, WA352 contributionsMy husband and I looped around SW WA for an impromptu day trip. We finished our drive driving West along the WA side of the Columbia River hitting it around 1pm and had the pleasure of seeing in on a blue bird day. There were so many awesome changes in terrain from dry rocky peaks, to mossy ferns reaching to the road, to snow, and then as we got closer to Vancouver, back to green lush landscape. The River and Columbia gorge were breathtaking and a site we can’t wait to drive through again. Tons a little lakes and waterfalls, places to fish or kayak, that next time we will have to stop and enjoy; park and recreational areas that will be fun to take the kids to, and small towns along the way with non-chain restaurant food options. I highly recommend stopping in Stevenson at the Big River Grill, which I made sure to review as well.
We may have to look into some of the fishing expeditions along the Columbia River next time too, and really get another view of this mini Grand Canyon-esk region in WA.... and hopefully catch an infamous sturgeon! Doesn’t matter if you’re new to WA or a native, the Columbia River is a place to experience.Written February 28, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It is located in Kennewick near the Clover Island area, nice footpath for a fantastic Columbia River view. The concept is to have some eateries (food trucks) near several wine facilities, although the Friday night we were here, not too many trucks parked.
We visited Bartholomew Winery and brought a little bit of snacks inside to enjoy (from Culture Shock Bistro truck). Our host, Bart, also the proprietor, was outstanding. He was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and very friendly. We got to hear a little bit of his business history. Learned about his wine making philosophies, and also learned a lot about wines in general. He is definitely outside of the "norm", introducing some interesting varietal. Like the central Italy Umbria region Sagrantino grapes.
Ended up buying the Cuvee Rouge and the Carmenere. We will definitely return. The tasting room is small and inviting. We like the fact that money is invested in wine making, and not towards fancy and imposing tasting room.Written June 2, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. One suggestion is a pet area for the dogs to go to the bathroom instead of where people would sit in the grass and put their blankets and chairs.Written July 5, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Amber MHayden, ID229 contributionsWhen I asked what to do in the TriCities I kept hearing "go to the mall." So I did! It was a pleasant surprise, to see an actual Mall still thriving. Nice variety of stores and very little vacant space. It was very busy too. Only complaint is each store we went to the service was s....l....o...w...Written August 9, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - glenda_smilesKennewick, WA4 contributionsA wonderful place to visit, the children's gardens, the rose gardens, a variety of flowers, landcovers, meticulously manicured... in season veggie gardens, accompanied with benches to enjoy the beauty and relax. You might encounter a wedding. It's beautiful.Written July 10, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
