Great value and interesting museum with beautiful planes and nice facilities. Many of the staff I believe are volunteers and ex-pilots and military. My adult family visited all the hangers (need to take tour included in price) and the European air field control building and spent over three hours looking at the planes and talking with the tour guides/staff. Highly recommend!

A Bite of Maine serves the only fresh seafood. The fish and chips are lovely. The portions are huge. We shared room is still full. And their sauces are delicious They make all of them in house. Even the ketchup they make is unique tasty. So is the tartar sauce and a cocktail sauce. The place has a New England feel to it We also got the lobster soup. Out of this world crazy good! Rich with flavor. The place is cozy and inviting. The staff is awesome. Everybody smiles and has a good time in there both customers and associates. Friday is fish fry so we're going to go there every Friday we can.

My wife and I have passed by this several times, but always on our way back to our hotel. We actually looked at spending the day going to several historic homes, but they were mostly shut down so we decided to stop here. It really takes less than an hour as this is a small museum that does not have their own art collection from what I gathered. The exhibit was a treat as it was work from Maya Lin (designer of the Vietnam Memorial). This was focused around water. Soem of it fairly basic, wooden blocks simulating rolling waves, but I did appreciate some of the glasswork showing the Chesapeake and Delware Bay Ststems. Another wing held some work of artists in residence. One in paticular, Shirley Lu, was particularly impressive to both my wife and I. A small bookstore is located inside as well. No admissions fee, but donations are encouraged.

If you had only time for one visit - this is the house to see. The docents (especially Gerry) are a wealth of information. The tour was packed with historic information and insights into the lives of the early settlers. The house is very very well done, packed with items used the the day! I could spend much time in each room there a so much to see. But Gerry's telling of the 'stories of life' made the tour come to life. It was an awesome tour!

We visited on a cold and windy day, so since we were the only visitors at the time we were given a private tour by the Director of the museum. She gave us a fascinating background tour of the museum. The VB Surf & Rescue Museum is a local jewel that is a must-do on your visit to Virginia Beach.

The name of this museum is somewhat misleading. In addition to many duck decoy carvings, the upstairs has pictures and tells the early history of Virginia Beach and the family who lived in the home. The guide was very friendly and informative.

I've been going to this store for over 10 years, and have always been happy with their work - very professional. Every time I go in to get something framed, I love walking around looking at the paintings, and have even bought a few!!

We were glad we had the time to visit this community gallery and the surrounding ViBe creative arts district, after exploring some trails at First Landing State Park. Many different artists work in this gallery, and the art is definitely varied and interesting. The variety included ceramics, paintings (both realistic and abstract), wall hangings, metal work, origami and other paper work, color photos, etc. Some of the art was whimsical and humorous. We also enjoyed the outside art in ViBe by taking a multi-block rectangular walking tour near the 19th street municipal parking lot. Different artists, including students, had decorated crosswalks and sidewalks and had painted impressive murals on buildings. Way to go Virginia Beach!
