- Susieqz78San Francisco8 contributionsDid not stay here but had Massages and spent a little time in the pools. Remodeled spa is nice. Pools are great. Nice lounge areas around the pool. Grounds are also nice. Restaurant on site is new and waiting to open (COVID). Looking forward to staying here on my next weekend trip!Written March 18, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Noelle Leigh S1 contributionMy best friend and I had a mini spa day at Spa Terra located at the Meritage Resort. It was my fourth time at Spa Terra and just like every other time, it was another great experience.
All the staff members were kind and welcoming. The ambiance of the venue was very calm and relaxing. The facility was very clean and they provided a wide range of toiletries in the locker room area for their guest such as: makeup remover, shower caps, shampoo/conditioner, body wash, individually wrapped hair brushes, lotion, body spray and more. Some of the amenities that are available for guests are hot tub, steam room, and showers in each locker room (men’s/women’s), and resort pool.
The main purpose for my visit was to get a relaxation massage. I got a 50 min relaxation massage by Kristen. Kristen was very professional and made me feel comfortable through the entire session. Prior to starting, she asked me if there were any areas I wanted her to focus on, and during the massage she made sure to ask me if I was comfortable with the pressure. By then end of the session I was wishing I scheduled a 90 min session. Kristen was so nice and easy to talk to. I told her I think she’d be great at deep tissue, and she said she does do deep tissue massages as well.
When the massage was done, I was given a moment in the room to recover, and after I was greeted at the door with cold infused water.
At the conclusion of our session, Kristen made sure to remind us that the amenities were available to us all day until closing time.
Spa Terra never disappoints. I will be coming back and requesting Kristen for my massage.Written January 11, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Food and parking are available. The best part of the experience was Kelly!Written May 30, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - BarbaraDeeSan Jose, CA10 contributionsLoved this hotel. It has lots of different room options from hotel rooms to cottages. We stayed in one of the View Rooms which had a view of the 24 hour geyser which was lit up with colored lights at night. Very spacious room with a fireplace. The 97 degree olympic size pool was awesome as was the Airstream cafe.
My only issue was the mud bath. I thought it would be a facial like experience for the body. But it’s actually very hot chunky, heavy, gritty volcanic material that is scooped on top of you. If you’re sensitive to heat you may want to skip this.Written June 2, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We got a couples massage and couples mud bath and because we booked last minute, we got a jacuzzi in our room which came with lavender salts! The only reason I wouldn’t suggest honeymooning here is because the pool area was lackluster and looked like it needed to be cleaned. However the mudbath was 👌👌Written March 12, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- tracyb839Bloomfield, CT96 contributionsVery relaxing and beautifully designed hotel. Loved the three different pools, fire pit areas, and the swings and hammocks. Staff at front desk was extremely friendly and helpful. The cottage room we stayed in was very clean and modern. Like an oasis in Napa Valley. Must stay at least 2 nights to take advantage of all the amenities this great place has to offer. If your looking for a Refreshingly different experience, this is the place!Written August 31, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Relaxing, staff was more than attentive, and the massage relieving. Thank you for such a wind down time in wine country -- will visit again!

- Dawn CSan Francisco, CA13 contributionsI have stayed at the Mount view hotel and spa three times. It is a charming boutique hotel in downtown Calistoga. It has a lovely garden, pool, and mineral water hot tub. You can walk to all the local shops and restaurants. The staff is friendly and helpful. They have complimentary wine in the evening and pour over coffee in the morning. My mom and I always enjoy our time at this lovely hotel.Written March 14, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Martin F6 contributionsHad a relaxing time with my partner when we went for the full spa treatment for the first time at Roman Spa, but, although we enjoyed the mud bath and mineral bath, and although the staff were friendly and helpful, we did not receive the same services I have had at other Calistoga Spa's. No face mask or cucumbers on the eyes, the rest relaxing period was too brief, just a couple of minutes, and there weren't any shampoos or lotions for showering off after the massage. Ah! The massage! That was the absolute highlight. My masseuse was Alex and I have never had a masseuse who understood my personal injuries and quirks as well as he did, nor had such lasting helpful effects from a massage.Written March 6, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Companion7194484 contributionsThe Spa was amazing! From the beginning until we left was phenomenal! We did a couples massage and our masseuses were great. Both Stephanie and Lu were so welcoming and it was just easy to relax. Thank you all!Written October 19, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - wiblondieWisconsin96 contributionsMy husband and I enjoyed an 80 minute couples massage and Joe was wonderful. It was noted that it was my birthday and not only did all of the employees we encountered wish me a happy birthday, they surprised me before we left with a little goodie bag of spa items. So thoughtful!Written October 21, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Kim BGretna, NE25 contributionsI have gotten a LOT of massages in my life, and this one ranks up in the top 4 or 5. It was incredible. The spa is tastefully decorated, welcoming, and clean. Staff is friendly, and my massage therapist really listened to what I wanted. I left feeling AMAZING, and would highly recommend a stop at this spa.Written June 25, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
