- rockdoctor48Norfolk, VA107 contributionsThis park is young and it is on the York River. There is an old farm house that is being restored. At the time of my visit it was not opened to visitors but it has been opened at times in the past so you might get lucky to see the inside during a visit. The trails were a nice easy hike and much was on grass. There are restrooms and water available.
They have a small pier out into the river but no fishing is allowed.Written June 9, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Melanie S5 contributionsI've lived in Gloucester for 13 years and never been to this park. We learned a lot about local history. Many of the signs were hard to read because it looks as if they need cleaned. But otherwise the park is well-maintained. It would be nice if the park had bathrooms.Written August 29, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Buddy JWilliamsburg, VA18 contributionsA very informative history (of the Gloucester County area) and a very interested docent to greet and offer some directions. There is a good historical background on the Revolutionary War taking place in the county.
Would recommend for an hour visit and then a walk next door to the Courthouse Square.Written December 16, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
