My husband and I did a wine tasting here. We also got cheese and crackers for a reasonable price. We liked all the wine. You can also taste beer and spirits here. Beautiful scenery and nice atmosphere. We bought a Chardonnay and I rarely like Chardonnays. We also bought a Cab Franc. Lovely afternoon

Chuck, you got a good thing going. We were welcomed (like family). Everyone on staff was warm and inviting. Got to shake Howard's hand, they were taping American Spirit. The Virginia lightning is as close to the real deal as you can (legally) buy. Overwhelmed with kindness from ALL the staff. We love Mr. December! Thanks again, and we will be back!

Best beer and pizza in town. It's got a great atmosphere and the staff is excellent. Visiting the area? Make sure to stop in!

We were desperate to find any restaurants with gluten free options. Found one only to arrive to find it closed on a Saturday for lunch!! Right next door was this quaint Mom/Pop shop! We are all here from out of town and so our group of 16 came thru like a hungry hurricane! Wally, the owner, was so kind, patient and generous. My daughter has Celiac so needs gluten free options. Mr. Wally offered her an off menu item called Keto Victoria- fluffy eggs, sautéed onions, sausage, spinach with mustard. Delicious and filling! Since it was chilly, she asked about the hot chocolate. Mr. Wally brought out the large bag of organic hot chocolate mix so we could look at the ingredients! The rest of group got various items and it was the perfect, light lunch we needed! Highly recommend!

The museum is definitely worth the visit to Culpepper. It’s very informative and the displays are wonderful. However, the Civil War Display never mentioned slavery. It is also not mentioned in any of our history since the late 1600’s. It was as if it didn’t exist in Culpepper. The only mention of slaves was when they described how slave owners sometimes took their slave into the battlefield with them. That is the only time it mentions slaves. We know this country is steeped in slavery. My husband and I were very disappointed in this. Not sure I would recommend it.

Stopped in for a map and asked for some local info. Staff went out of their way to try to answer my questions. Next door to small local history that was worth a visit.

We attended the Library/Reserve wine tasting on Sunday. David made us all welcome with tales, history, information and red wines in their new Greenlee Tavern. We hope to watch some of the LARP events and return for next years Library/Reserve wine tasting.

A historic national cemetery established in 1866 that still conducts burials for veterans and their spouses to this day.

Several good IPA's and a limited food menu. I did like the peanuts that they had available for help yourself. My buddy liked the lager, but I thought it tasted too much like Bud Light.....nice staff--recommend, for sure.

This is a small building with plenty of history. Our guide was excellent, really outstanding. He is a reenactor and was extremely knowledgeable about Civil War history. He showed us unusual items and explained how terms we use in our current lives date back to these items. His enthusiasm, graciousness and knowledge are commendable. Great tour!

Even if there was an admission fee, it would be well worth it. They have a diverse movie selection, all movies are introduced by the archivist that selected it for that showing, and the theater takes you back to another era.

Be on the lookout for the next play of "The Last Supper" at Mitchells Presbyterian Church. You've got to experience at least once. They are so accurate that you think "You are there!"
