Beer and social distancing are possible! Everyone is at a table, inside or outside, and you have to wear a mask if you're ordering at the bar. So civilized. Also great beer.

We didn't pick Strawberries but we walked out there to watch . We also loved the peach orchards. They have all kinds of pies & ice cream in the store.

Great staff in a laid-back environment. Games for the kids to play, always good music and lots of outside seating to enjoy those cool summer nights. The new addition should bring even more musical talent. Most everyone finds a beer they like, but if not there is also wine and kombucha.

This boutique winery produces some really incredible wine. We enjoyed everything we tried but especially liked the Chardonnay and their Bordeaux blend. Your also very close the the vines which really adds to the total experience.

This winery is a gotta, not a maybe but definitely a gotta go to.

We visited Grace when they opened and returned recently. It's very different from before, but the wines are still quite good. We weathered a thunderstorm there and enjoyed the wine. Everything is estate grown. One of the better wineries in the area.

Everything about our 5 hours at wildrock was PERFECT! It was a hot day but the breezes made most of it absolutely bearable. When it did get too warm, we cooled our feet in the stream (or put on the rubber boots that were there to help yourself to) or went in the excellently designed and well air-conditioned barn. The outdoor playscapes were beautiful and interesting to ALL of us (2 8-year-olds, a 7-year-old and 2 moms). The indoor play area was equally charming and engaging. We kept repeating that we wish there were a school like this! The trail and hike were perfect for us (total amateurs!) although we both noted that we wouldn’t have felt comfortable if we were the only adult along. Crossing and playing in the streams and the fairy doll house in the barn were both something straight out of childhood dreams. Everyone who worked there (I think they are actually all volunteers) was friendly and most accommodating! We live about 4 hours away but will definitely return! *make sure you pack a picnic lunch to enjoy there! it is remote and you wouldn’t want to waste time leaving to eat!*

My husband and I like this vineyard because the atmosphere is so awesome. They have a wines that you can enjoy and meet new people. The employees are so helpful and kind. We have invited many of our friends to go here. I also like the fact that they are very close to home. I have been getting wines from them and sending them to my friends in SC, Va. and Florida. Now those friends are coming in to actually visit the vineyard. Great vineyard!!!

Hiking trails that border Shenandoah National Park (SNP). Byrom Park includes pit toilets, picnic benches, kiosk, and horse trailer parking. AND, a monument is under construction to honor families from Albemarle County who were displaced for the creation of SNP. Plans are also underway for a shelter and historical information panels so visitors can learn more about the history and culture of the families who used to call these mountain's home.

First off, I want to thank Tripp’s Advisor for accepting my suggestion to have this trail added. My wife found the information on this trail and we decided to give it a try. Absolutely loved it. It’s a little off the beaten path and not much near by. You will loose cell phone coverage as you draw near. The trails are not well marked but there were several people around who had experience with the park and offered directions and suggestions for where to go and what to see. It’s well worth the trip but make sure you bring water and are prepared for a moderate hike. The longest trail was from the parking area and traveled Northwest towards Skyline drive. It passes a waterfall and crosses a creek a multiple points along the trail. During our visit the creek was mainly dry. The highlight for me was viewing the damn and reservoir. We could not find the path that led directly to it so we cheated and drove beneath the dam, small parking area by it. Last great point is the area is dog friendly. When the creek has more water in it there are several areas where you can get to the creek and splash around. We are looking forward to returning in the spring.

Henley's Orchard is a family owned and local fruit orchard in quiet Crozet VA. If you want to get out in the country side, but not far from town, make a stop here. The folks who run the orchard are friendly and helpful. The nectarines, peaches and apples are fresh and tasty. They have a parlor where fresh baked goods, apple cider and other fruit treats will be served later in the season. Look for their Fall Festival!

Cute winery overlooking the polo field with stables & horses on the property. You can bring your own food & picnic or buy from their store or food truck .

We played golf at Old Trail on September 24, 2021, and found the course in great shape and very enjoyable. The staff was very friendly and even got us off before our scheduled tee time - we want to give a shout out to the starter, Steve!.

This store is now located in Piedmont Place. The new building on Library Ave. Access is easy from the lot around back. This a wonderful place to browse, gift shop, or find a treat for yourself! The owner is usually there and is so helpful, especially choosing books for children as well as other readers. There are other fun things--funny fridge magnets, socks, chocolate, tote bags, some works from local artists and artisans. Stop by and enjoy!
