Love this place. Recently returned and the bugs are still very REAL. We were prepared with spray, and cameras.

When we first entered, I was a bit disappointed at how small this place is, but it's really well done with several interactive exhibits and a separate out-building. It's well worth the modest fee to explore this place. My kids and I did their scavenger hunt, and it really helped to focus the kids and I think they paid a lot more attention to the exhibits than they might have otherwise. You can get your picture taken with Misty, try on a costume, play with toys from previous generations, hold a pufferfish, etc. There were free stickers for everyone and the gift shop items were very reasonably priced. I highly recommend stopping here during your time in Chincoteague.

This is a small privately owned attraction on the side of the road outside of downtown. We expected it to be a 10 minute stop to take a look at the small historic structure with boat carvings on the walls. While we walked around the outside of the house with my wife, daughter, son in law and two granddaughters, the owner of the property came over and invited us for a look inside. While there, the owner was generous with his time and gave us a wonderful accounting of the history of the house and some of its previous inhabitants. He was interesting, entertaining and very much an awesome story teller. This small roadside attraction became one of the highlights of our trip. Thank You!

We saw this was on the island and I had many of my beer friends suggest it, so we hit it one midweek evening. ordered seafood from their food building right beside the brewery, got a buzzer for when it was done. They even helped carry it back over to our table . The flights of 4 were priced very well, imo and I ended up doing 2 of them. Enjoyed all of the beers but the corn lager really stood out as different for me. The pretzel roll hotdog was a hit as well for the crew. Nice and quiet place to hang out with tv's to watch or just hang.

We met Billy Bebee, who talked about Misty and what the island was like when she was alive. He had the three main Misty books for sale, autographed by him. He was very personable and amiable and ready to answer questions about growing up with Paul, Maureen and Misty. We really enjoyed visiting with him!

The library is fun, but this is a lovely spot to sit and watch the harbor, I made time to call my mother from the porch while family were inside, a beautiful spot

Great small water park. Our young kids enjoyed themselves and on a Thursday the park was not too crowded.

Beautiful site for a memorial to those lost at sea. It is on the very south point of Chincoteague Island. The panoramic view out over the water is amazing. The only downside is that you might never know where to find it if you weren’t purposefully looking. It is worth taking a short ride to the end of the island. When you enter the marina area go to the far side and all the way to the end of the parking lot where you will find a sign welcoming you. Park your car and walk through the split rail entrance. Stroll up the hill and take in the vista and some wonderfully done memorial plaques.

The Chamber of Commerce was very helpful in planning my trip to Chincoteague. They explained the operations of both the Virginia and Maryland sides of Asseoteague Island and recommended hotels that fit my particular needs (traveling off season with a pet). If you have questions planning your trip, call the Chamber of Commerce first.

We stumbled upon the gallery towards the end of our vacation and both agreed it was by far the best part of our trip. We've been reinvigorated to devote more time to our own art...thank you Daniel!

I visited on the second to last Sat they were open. Not too many vendors, but I was able to spend over $40 so I would say they had all that I and my friends needed. The vendor with the shopping bags made out of feed bags was there. I had purchased 2 in Sept, and 2 more this visit. White Ravins Market was there and we were able to thank them for the wonderful Smith Island cake that I had purchased from their store. We also bought their crab cakes and tomato pie and pumpkin role. Freshly shucked oysters were also purchased and brought home and fried. Very delicious. I could go on and on. A fun place to shop.

We visited the beach area for an all day family visit. This is the most beautiful beach I've gone to in the US that you can not see "civilization" from. The only structure you see is the lighthouse. Plenty of bathrooms, changing rooms and showers spaced down the length of the beach. Absolutely gorgeous.

We took lots of pictures in the big chairs, which are very difficult to crawl out of. LOL Great little park to run around and get some energy out.
