We love skiing at Mad River. The trails are longe and varied. The single person chair is awesome. No snowboards allowed. No gondola. Old fashion lift tickets that attach to your zipper are an adorable novelty! This place is no fuss, easy in and easy out. Arrive EARLY for good parking. You will love it.

We have been to The Big Picture many times and we are happy every time! Last week’s visit was beyond wonderful and I am prompted to write my second enthusiastic review of the place.

First of all, it is a funky little movie theater with 2 screens that show up to date movies. You can sit at a table and eat a meal inside the theater or sit in regular, quite comfortable seats. The employees are super friendly and helpful.

The restaurant part of the operation is just a perfect fun bistro-diner type place with cozy booths, sofas and overstuffed chairs, and separate tables; in the summertime, there is casual outdoor seating complete with party lights.

The food and drink prices are very reasonable and the food is just fabulous. The menu has something for everyone and the wait staff friendly.

I swear that if this restaurant were in NYC or Boston, there would be a waiting line going out the door for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. But it’s not there, it is in friendly Vermont!! and usually there is no wait which I find astoundingly wonderful for the customers.

There is a playground setup right next to the building so kids can play outside before or after a movie or a meal in the warm months. The owners also provide one of the theater areas to be used as a local playgroup space for younger kids one morning a week — check their website for details. It is a great opportunity for locals to meet one another and of course for visiting grandparents to do something with the grands.

So, in summary, go to this place! Don’t be put off by the dirt parking lot.... it IS Vermont. And, Lawson’s is right next door...!

My husband, daughters and I did the tour and lunch with Amy and to say we had an AMAZING experience would be an understatement. From the moment we pulled up to the farm we were greeted and welcomed. Dave came over and was chatting with us and telling us amazing things about the farm, the beautiful murals, and all things farm related. Amy's tour was magical. It truly gave you an insiders look at what farmers do, how the world is a better place with farmers, and how we each should pay homage to farmers. Amy explains everything in great detail, we got to try a bunch of delicious things throughout the tour and my daughters got to pick some eggplant with Dave. The lunch at the end was a real treat and delicious. To know what you are consuming are the fruits of their labor was truly inspiring. I say, don't walk, RUN to this tour. Let this experience fill you up because it's MAGICAL! Thank you Amy and Dave! We plan to visit you with each visit we take to VT!

A beautifully restored Vermont Barn that hosts events was the perfect place for summer theatre! We went and saw the Patsy Cline Show which was well done and gets the audience involved! The barn and the property are so well taken care of by a former Soap Opera Star! A gem in Vermont!

Love these paths. Buy a map ($5) and know where to go. During mud season, be prepared for mud and some places on the path are very difficulty to walk. If you choose to walk down the river banks into the water either to fish or to put your toes in the water, be careful. The stream has more power than you might realize. Stones are rounded from being rolled from higher upstream.

Beautiful building and grounds. Our group of 8 spent about 45 minutes taking in this very special space. The owner, Wendell, was charming and extremely interesting as he kindly shared the history of the building and the sources of the art on display. This was a highlight of our weekend in Warren, VT. Highly recommended.

Whether you're looking for a post-ski beer with friends or games and food on the patio during a sunny day, this place is for you! The atmosphere, food, and beer are a solid 5 stars. Beautiful and clean facility, as well as very friendly staff!!! This is by far one of the best breweries I have ever been to!

A gallery like no other. We had a great time at Walker Contemporary. We viewed contemporary work that I never expected to find in Vermont. The gallery owner is delightful, easy to speak with and VERY knowledgeable. She took the time to explain the extensive process the artists use. One of my favorites pieces by artist Valerie Hammond, traces the hands of people close to her, then adds floral imagery in a combination of drawing and printing as well as collage, finally the work is dipped in wax and then she hand sews beads onto the work. Wow!
I strongly recommend visiting this gallery when in the Warren, Waitsfield area

While traveling along the scenic byway of Route 100 we entered the lovely town of Waitsfield to discover the Waitsfild covered bridge. You can use the pedestrian walkway to safely view the inside of the bridge… and to great some great photos.
