Hildene, The Lincoln Family Home
#1 of 5 Nature & Parks in Manchester
Hildene has a little bit of everything-- history, nature, farm animals, scenic views, lovely hikes, sustainable agriculture, and one of the best gift shops I've ever been to at a non-profit.
Our tour guide on the tram to the floating walkway gave us lots of information on the ecology of the area and facts about what the park is doing to maintain and enhance the area for visitors as well as wildlife.
Equinox Preservation Trust
#2 of 5 Nature & Parks in Manchester
If you want to get in a good invigorating hike or just want be in nature, this is a fabulous place to visit.
Popular on Sunday morning and only a small car park at the entrance, there is another further down the road.
Lye Brook Falls
#3 of 5 Nature & Parks in Manchester
Beautiful place, real contact with nature, peaceful and very green-colorful in autumn!
It is a bit sad that for quite some sights, parks and waterfalls in New England you need to pay fees.
Dana L. Thompson Memorial Park
#4 of 5 Nature & Parks in Manchester
It has ball fields, soccer fields, a pool, equipment for children on a playground, skateboard ramps and a fine walking trail that circles the park.
This great park has everything, from swimming, to ball fields, walking trails and a dog part - we were there for the dog park.
Mount Equinox Arlington 3.8 mi away
#1 of 2 Nature & Parks in Arlington
My Equinox is a wonderful way to view nature at its best.
That said, the park is beautifully built.
