If you have children or grandchildren you must take them to this wonderful place: all sorts of incredible hands on experiences: the kids are allowed to touch and play with EVERYTHING..they love it!
They have tons of exhibits that my kids loved, but the icing on the cake is the outdoor water feature that kids can play in and all of the hiking trails.

The tour guide provided lots of great insights into the birds' lives, and she was also great at answering questions (I also admired her patience with a bratty, rude child on our tour).
There is also a pleasant trail through some woods plus activities for children such as dressing up and looking for fairies in the woods and there was a short talk on reptiles where we got to stroke a beautiful cor...

We visited with two generations of family members and had a great time reliving our youth by remembering which toys we played with.
A very fun toy museum that is great for a trip back in time to remember toys that you had as a kid or your kid's had growing up.

Quechee Covered Bridge is a great place to stop and look at the falls and watch local children jump off the bridge and into the river.
Area kids like to jump from the rocks into the deeper pools below the bridge by Simon Pierce.

One of our girls was a bit scared of the alpacas but the gentleman who ran the shop was very patient and soft-spoken which made both the animals and our children calm and able to really enjoy this unique experience.
I ended up purchasing a beautiful alpaca hat for winter, some furry alpaca toys for the kids, a T-shirt, and three dryer balls made of alpaca fur.

Since he was a child of the Civil War period you can imagine his subjects, his ability to draw out your emotions with his sculpture and bas relief.
Also on the grounds is the "Shaw Memorial", the "Admiral Farragut" sculpture, a spooky piece (referred to as the Addams Family) but really known as the "Mysterious Hereafter: and of course Diana with her bow.
