- Skeet100197Hedgesville, WV24 contributionsDid The Sunrise Valley Tour of Monument Valley where we saw the famous Totem Pole and Yea bi Cheri rock formations. Our tour guide, CORY, was amazing. He took his time with us, shared so much Navajo culture and history with us and explaining the rock formations and names. Took us to the most breathtaking stops for the best photos of the Sunrise. You won’t be disappointed and worth every penny for this tour. This company is top notch and would pick any other company to do business with and gave us the most incredible experience!Written August 16, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - DavidRJElvySwansea County, UK19 contributionsClearly marked, rocky, dusty and sandy trail that is clearly marked.
The only walking trail in Monument Valley that can be used without a guide.Written May 11, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Joe B3 contributionsGetting this tour to go off the normal path is well worth the price. A few extra formations and arches not viewable to the normal visitor (the dragon and the rusted submarine) , plus you get all the back ground information of the culture and history of the park you could not get from the internet.
The only improvement would be having plexiglass on the front of the seating area to restrict the rain pelting us during one of the downpours like we saw on other trucks.Written August 12, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The trail is well-marked, but it's hard to tell how much more you have to the end. No map at the trailhead. Some challenging spots in loose sand, but no more than moderate difficulty. We were running tight on time and ended up turning back after about 3/4 mile. Later found out the whole trail (a lollipop) is about 2.1 miles, so we didn't miss much. Never saw another hiker. I think most visitors to the area are riders/drivers.Written October 11, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Brian F7 contributionsWe did the Mystery Valley tour with Larry Team, it was a great day. Larry is a wealth of information and made the tour interesting and we climbed to levels that I did not expect to see the Anastasia Ruins. .
We highly recommend Tribal tours and Larry Team.Written August 12, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The sunshine, blue skies and amazing pink sunset made for the perfect backdrop for the many photos we took as we moved in and around these beautiful rock formations. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a wonderful one of a kind experience with breathtaking and inspiring views of Monument Valley on the Navajo Nation.Written July 20, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - J KNew Jersey12 contributionsMy wife and I took the half day Monument Valley Tour on May 27, 2022. Our guide Helen showed us the amazing geological formations and ancient petroglyphs many of which you can not see just taking the loop road drive yourself. Not only did we learn many aspects of the various geological formations, for instance the company Three Sisters takes it's name from one of the formations in Monument Valley, but Helen shared with us information regarding Navajo culture. She took us to a Hogan where a Navajo woman showed us the art of spinning wool into yarn by hand and their methods of dying the wool the processes having been passed down to her by her mother. But when we were in front of the huge Ear of the Wind arch and Helen took out a hand drum and sang a Navajo song thanking the creator for this beauty, it just took my breathe away. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour and it exceeded all our expectations.Written June 15, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - nlshepard2Moab, UT44 contributionsI am so glad we opted to do a tour rather than just driving the loop by ourselves. The tour was so informative and I liked that we got to go to places we wouldn't otherwise see. Our guide was Don. He was great and gave us such valuable information. He also helped set up photos. The truck used by MV Safari is comfortable. It is a little tricky to get into and out of if you are a short person. They provided a step stool that helped.Written May 9, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Leana1 contributionMy boyfriend and I did the Hunt's Mesa overnight tour and it was definitely the highlight of our week-long vacation! The views from the mesa were absolutely incredible and unlike anything I had seen before. We had an amazing tour guide, Sean, who knew so much about the area and its historyWritten August 5, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - nctraveler315Winston Salem, NC152 contributionsWe took the 3.5 hour tour and it was the highlight of our trip. Larry was our guide. One of the guests on our tour wanted to see specific sites from a tv show filmed in Monument Valley and Larry made sure we visited those sites in addition to the regularly planned stops. FYI the extra stops were incredible. Larry explained so much about Navajo customs, culture, and government. He explained all the symbols on the Navajo flag too. The stops on the tour allowed us to see parts of Monument Valley we would not have seen on our own. We were able to go into a Hogan and learn about Navajo culture and traditions. If you are going to visit Monument Valley, I highly recommend this tour.Written April 30, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Joe MLas Vegas, NV85 contributionsMy wife and I had the distinct pleasure of taking the all-day tour with Leslie as our guide. His skills in off-road driving, his knowledge of the area, customs, and scenic photography spots have no equal. Listening to him speak on the history of the area, and of the Navajo was enlightening and enjoyable.
Several years ago, I had the pleasure of meeting Tom Philips for a couple of photographic tours. I'm happy to say that Leslie and Carl have continued the excellent customer service and experience set forth by Tom.
As a travelling photographer, scouting and finding those unique photographic compositions is the most time-consuming part of the art. The Phillips tour group guided me to several great shots and from there I was able to establish my own compositions.Written July 25, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Our guide was really relaxed and patient and took good care of us and the horses. The horses looked all well maintained and the stables were good organised. An unforgettable experience, thank you Zike!Written August 8, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
