Waco Mammoth National Monument
#1 of 12 Museums in Waco
Good job to the staff and everyone who put thought into this museum, it really is one of the most spectacular, small museums that I've ever been to, you just have to open your eyes and your mind to see how much hi...
Some of the diggings from the sight are in other museums in Waco, like the Mayborn Center, another great museum for children and adults alike.
Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum
#2 of 12 Museums in Waco
It is one of the best museums we have visited.
We learned SO much about Texas history and the history of the Texas Rangers at this museum!! Divided into several small galleries, this museum offers guests an opportunity to learn about this very important branch...
Mayborn Museum Complex
#3 of 12 Museums in Waco
There are typical museums-type exhibits with animal skeletons, artifacts, a forest, a cave, a grass hut, log cabin, and teepees.
We have been to many children's museums around the country and this is the best!
Armstrong Browning Library and Museum
#4 of 12 Museums in Waco
An amazing museum-quality Browning era display in Baylor University library
The best way for those of us who aren't Browning scholars to appreciate the museum is to take a guided tour.
Dr Pepper Museum
#5 of 12 Museums in Waco
We aren't big on museums but this one was fun and we were able to breeze through.
Lot's of very interesting history and stories and photos and artifacts in the museum -- we could have stayed even longer!
Texas Sports Hall of Fame
#6 of 12 Museums in Waco
Both museums are on the Baylor campus.
Close to the Texas Ranger Museum at the North end of the Baylor campus, this is a terrific sports museum which also includes the Texas Tennis Museum.

Fort House Museum
#9 of 12 Museums in Waco
I am happy to have gone and visited that charming little museum downtown Waco.
The Fort House is a former 1800s residence, now museum, that reflects life of Waco's "well-off" of years past.

Martin Museum of Art
#11 of 12 Museums in Waco
The Martin Museum, housed in Baylor's Fine Art's building ( on campus ) , has a fabulous permanent collection ( like Kermit Oliver ! ) and also displys many limited exhibitions throughout the year .
I have visited this art museum on several occasions, and try to always catch their show openings at which they often have the artists give a talk, and they serve some pretty decent grub as well.
