I really enjoy this library. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. The location is good and plenty of parking. The library is large and well situated. I always easily find what I'm looking for or get great help with resources.

Gotta say this place was 10 kinds of awesome. The beer was beer( not a beer drinker) the saff was hella cool. The food trucks are a dope idea; and this place reminds me of a backyard get together!!!

Everyone there was very helpful and the beer was great. Also there was a huge television so patrons can watch sports events. Recently at the end of the World Series and the Astros fans were there everyone has watched it the game there and were celebrating there and it was on television.

Attend mass here regularly and am happy to have this as my church home. The clergy and the parishioners make the church a good place to come to for spiritual enrichment. If you are looking for a church to make yours, try Holy Family.

I saw where there was going to be an “End of Summer Ice Cream Social” and that the Dew Home would be open to the public.

I think I’d run across the information on the Fort Bend History Association website.

Not everyone in my family is as keen on local history as I am. So I drove over solo to check out the house.

If I understand correctly, the house (moved to Kitty Hollow park) is now the headquarters of the DeWalt Heritage Center.

They seemed a little surprised to see me, although the website clearly stated: The Center is currently open for tours once a month. Upcoming open dates include: September 15.

So I awkwardly stood there after having been told they were not sure if they were doing tours.

I was told to speak to Deborah, about a possible tour.

I saw a lady heading upstairs and I asked her if she was taking a tour & she said she was! So up I went, pausing on the landing as a group came down.

Not sure why all the initial awkwardness, but Deborah was absolutely lovely as she led me and another lady through the upstairs rooms.

The displays are nice. Everything was very tidy. A room with General store items and cotton picking history. Another room with a large desk. And one more with children’s items and furnishings. Lots of old photos on display.

Deborah did a wonderful job of politely answering our questions. And the other woman touring was so nice to visit with.

A Mr. Ware was on hand with some interesting ghost stories of the home! Apparently a professional crew had been there at one point in time and picked up activity.

Will definitely come back another day and bring my sister along. She is the one interested in ghosts.

They were making homemade ice cream in old crank style machines on the front porch. Great way to involve young people and teach them a history lesson.

Nice easy parking in front of the home.

Wish we had more of this in FB County. Very rich history.

Kitty Hollow park is nice. I need to come out when it isn’t so hot. Lots of cars stopped along the drive. I think people were playing Pokémon.

Great park in Missouri City for fishing, kayaking, birding and hiking. Great playground for the kids and a huge pavilion that you can rent from the Parks and Recreation Department.

This is one of the best courses in the Houston area. Well maintained greens and smooth fairways, however, if you hit more then one ball of the first tee, you will not only be asked to leave, but you may get spit on and punched out by one particular golf marshal!!!
