What travelers are saying
- Maxine & Paul61 contributionsGorgeous Pueblo with traditional Spanish charm and away from the hustle and bustle.
Our second visit here and we still found different narrow and beautiful streets to explore.
Great little bars and restaurants and a good bus service.
People also very friendly and great prices for food and drinks.

Ate in one of the steak restaurants overlooking the marina in the middle next to the Chinese restaurant. Lively table, maitre d was gr8, lovely meal. Lots of lucky lucky men selling along the front but no botherWritten September 14, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JessieManchester, UK461 contributionsBeautiful park with a couple of cafes dotted around. Some goats and other animals inside along with chickens roaming free, the last time we visited there were a lot of cats but these seemed to have gone now. At the too there is also a garden full of various caucus plants. Great to visit with children as there is a large play area also.Written August 23, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ChatterboxmeganAppley Bridge, UK987 contributionsMyself, husband and 4 month old baby visited yesterday. We were able to fit us and the pram in the cable car. There is the option of leaving your pram at the base if you wish. The ride up is smooth and there is a commentary available.
At the top we found a number of stone paths in various directions giving 360 views. We were unaware that none of this would be pram accessible so we ended out carefully carrying our baby up and down slippy stone steps. I would HIGHLY recommend taking a baby carrier and sensible shoes. I wish we'd been warned about this on booking as it meant we only explored one of the many paths. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our amble.
There was a cafe and small gift shop at the top, but we didn't look in either.Written September 17, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Once in a lifetime experience to walk alongside a tortoise and a wallaby surrounded by butterflies and exotic birds.Written September 15, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Chelcie GNottingham, UK4 contributionsA very special and unique experience with incredible views!
I used to visit often as a child and came back 10 years later to find it was still as interactive and exciting an experience as it was in my youth.Written September 18, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We got the bus up to the old town and then did the short walk to the building. The views from the top are great. We had a pram with us so had to take it in turns viewing inside the Stupa. I did see a lift once I was inside but not sure how that is accessed? It was very clean building and ornately decorated inside. Good place for a pit stop, we stayed about 20 minutes.Written September 18, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We had dinner in la fuente and it was wonderful, definitely would recommend a visit. There’s a short walk up to the church and great viewsWritten July 28, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. They give discount slips out by the harbour during the day so we used them to book online to go. We found it cheaper to book online than to book via tourist venues etc. You can book joint venues with package deals but we didn’t.
Take drinks and snacks if you can as the food is pricey as expected.Written August 26, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It's a nice ,well kept beach ,not as busy as some of the more touristic beaches further along the coast upto Fuengirola ,nice beach amenities and some great chiringuito's along the beachfront, love nothing better than going in for a swim here and then enjoying a beer or a plate of grilled sardines in a chiringuito ,all in all a great beach to checkout if you're near Carvajal.Written May 26, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There are signs to a tourist office there but it was closed when we visited. A group of people were taking wedding group photos in front of it.Written March 5, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - WorcesterMorayWorcester1,039 contributionsWork to replace the boardwalks and toilets etc is still on going. Hopefully they will complete it over the winter but seems slow and a number of boardwalks are not safe.
Otherwise a nice clean beach and safe for swimming.Written December 20, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Kids found it a bit difficult as sea has a definite ‘drop off’, it’s not sandy but more shale-like and the waves are really quite powerful - however once they found the game of jumping them were much more entertained.
