We covered so much of this beautiful city - both the old and the new. Our favorite stop was the Basilica de San Francisco - it was breathtakingly beautiful. Mike our driver/ guide, was happy and friendly with a wealth of stories and knowledge of historic Plymouth. The tour took about an hour and was reasonably priced. As well as an amazing tour, we got some great recommendations for things to do and places to eat, which led to probably our best food experience in Madrid. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, took us through the Salamanca area, Gran Via. Tour is one hour. The villa is magnificent, with more than enough room for the 6 of us.
The weather was still warm and we spent all of our time outdoors at the pool and eating outside under the covered patio. We didn't use any of the lovely sitting rooms inside, except for the very well equipped kitchen.
Lawrence Williamson was fabulous; making bookings at local restaurants for us, giving us ideas on interesting day trips and generally making sure we had everything we needed..
The pictures on the website tell it how it is.

- Sarah B24 contributionsWe had an excellent tour with Daniel taking me and my two teenage boys on the Cuenca via ferrata. The views are beautiful along the River canyon and the climb is very challenging while still being doable. I’m not sure I would recommend this if you have a fear of heights but it is a wonderful activity for teenagers to give them a break from sightseeing.
Eat a large breakfast and bring water, we completed the ferrata by 12:30 so we waited until we were back in Madrid for lunch—it is a shorter drive back with no traffic. Climbing shoes and gloves were provided.
