- KarenPerth and Kinross, UK10 contributionsThis place was recommended and have no hesitation in passing that on…. Great beer, friendly service and a lovely spot to enjoy the weather and a catch up with your friends and family as well as providing space for the kids and dogs to enjoy. Plenty of parking, not far out of Marble Falls for a cab. - jimmysmith2022Austin, TX72 contributionsThe day was overcast so perfect for picking strawberries! We arrived about 12:30 on Saturday the 30th so the early birds got the best of the pickings. We were undetered and managed to find 1/2 a box of small to medium stawberries. We had a 7 month old otherwise we would have stayed as they were going to open up the Field Trip side at 1:30pm. Nonetheless fed a nanny goat with twin kids, ate homemade strawberry ice cream and pop cycles ... so delicious ... and rode the Express Barrel Train.Written April 1, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Trina B6 contributionsWe hiked a few different paths at Balcones. We started at the visitor center and picked up the junior ranger books for our kids. The rest of the day was spent hiking trails at both Warbler Vista and Doeskin Ranch. One thing we’ve learned is that the difficulty level trails are ranked in this area of Texas are not the same as other places we’ve hiked, like Zion, Bryce Canyon, Rocky Mountain National Park, etc.. We hiked the Rimrock Trail which was ranked as difficult at Doeskin Ranch easily with two children ages 10 and 8. They are used to hiking though. It does have a decent elevation change which is why they ranked it as difficult according to the ranger. Hike the trail counterclockwise going right at the beginning. That will take you up the steeper rocky part and down the more gradual path.Written March 14, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - mellylawrenceFort Worth, TX7 contributionsThis was my first time at this park, LOVED it! Fantastic trails, cute cabins and a general store. We rented a cabin, it’s plain and basic but worked. It would be nice if they had a covered patio and some light.Written March 17, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - tambomarHallandale Beach, FL33 contributionsThis museum was the old school house and each room seems to have its own theme. The woman who greeted us was nice and informative. - Louis FAltus, OK1,270 contributionsWorth the 10 minute stop if you are passing through the area or a short detour. The only thing there is the hole and a plaque explaining its significance.Written May 27, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - jdembo748770Cedar Park, TX15 contributionsThe giant dragon fly is not above the cinema due to reconstruction. The interactive music art was really enjoyable. We did not have any children with us, but we did not let us stop us from making our own music with the inviting hands on music art. It was really fun making noise on main street. The beautiful Indian sitting on a horse with flute is way off the beaten path in front of a business entrance. I did admire it when we passed it, but it way off the beaten path away from the the other sculptures. I also enjoyed the beautiful sculpture of the the little girl in front of City Hall. It was so lonely and dirty sitting under the beautiful tree across from the shops. Many people probably don't even notice her, but I did. She is lovely and under appreciated.Written April 17, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- dmgjgmdBoerne, TX20 contributionsThis park is on the North shore of Boerne City Park. The Lake prohibits internal combustion engines, so it is a quiet, peqaceful lake. There is a launching ramp for small sailboats, kayaks, shells, and the like. Many picnic tables, with occasional fire rings are available, and there iare large grassy play areas. A leash law is enforced. Maintenance iis done with loving attention. There is an admission charge unless you can demonstrate that you live in Boerne (utility bill, etc) Overnight camping is allowed only on rare, sche3duled occasionsWritten July 18, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Randy BHorseshoe Bay, TX221 contributionsThe park is very clean and shaded. There are picnic tables with BBQ pits. A beach volleyball court and horseshoe pits. Hiking and biking trails and a boat ramp. It’s a great place to launch your kayak or fish from shore. The park also holds the Howdy-Roo CASI Chili cook-off in the spring. Not to mention it’s on the beautiful Colorado River.Written February 9, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
