- mike hFort Worth, TX475 contributionsVery nice State Park just outside of Junction. River level low due to drought over the past year or so, but still beautiful. They are constructing a new entry/visitor area which will be nice once completed. Worth a visit for a day/night.Written January 17, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- M JAustin, TX7,978 contributionsMy husband and I enjoyed a couple hours at Kimble County River Park. It is located between the historic 1937 Truss Bridge (TX-481) and the dam on the South Llano River. We saw people paddling in canoes & kayaks, fishing, picnicking, swimming and lots of ducks. There are many outfitters in Junction but not in the park. The park has playscapes, volley ball courts, picnic tables, disc golf, picnic tables with grills and more. We spent most of our time sitting on the end of the long 1964 concrete dam watching water pour over the dam. Shreiner Park is located on the opposite side of the South Llano River. There is no charge to use the park.Written July 1, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
