A great museum that focuses on the Pacific War, and gives detail about all the battles and situations.

I had not hiked this mountain for 20 years and I was still pleased with the experience all these years later! We took the summit trail and it was worth the hike. The regular bathrooms were closed due to water issues, but they had port-o-lets. There was also a snow cone truck at the base of the mountain, a nice treat on a hot day.

I recommend downloading the Texas State Parks app and buying an annual pass. The app charges you by the car, but you are supposed to pay by the person. If you have an annual pass, it gets your car full in with no extra charge. When you register to go to the park, they ask for your license plate etc; however, I was told that was just a formality, as we were using a rental car and didn't know the info when we booked the visit. They do ask you for your confirmation number when you get to the park, so have that info ready!

Main Street is great for both shopping and dining. Several good shops and good restaurants are within walking distance.

So much to see here. It's over 100° pretty much every day, so I'm sure it's not easy to keep anything alive. Yet, somehow they manage. There weren't fields of flowers like my previous visit, I'm sure due to drought and extreme temperatures. They still have lots of options for both indoor and outdoor plants and decor. Worth the visit.

This drive was one of the best things we did on our trip to the hill country. The wildflowers were not in full bloom, but the animals and landscape were still wonderful. I would recommend this drive to anyone who wants to see what the hill country is all about.

Wandered in in Main Steet & lucked into a tasting with Ann! She was wonderful, knowledgeable and not at all pretentious. The wines were amazing. We all had a blast. Higly recommend adding this tasting room to tour must-see list!

We stopped by on a Sunday, fully expecting services to be going on and not being able to go inside. Some friendly parishioners saw us wandering around and invited us in. Beautiful church inside and out. Out of respect for the people inside, I did not take any interior photos.

I happened to be passing by and just had to stop and check it out. I went to the first observation area.. But spotted a closer area... Made my way down to that one. Heard a couple with two little kids on the bridge and decided to see what was down there. I got to the bridge, saw the tunnel in one direction and some trails in the other direction. Tempting as it was, I decided not to wander off down the trail. As I started back up, I also realized I'm extremely out of shape and those steps are kinda steep. (Also didn't realize how many of them there were until on the way back up) I wasn't sure I was going to make it, but thankfully I did. I sat in the AC in the car for a few minutes before I recovered enough to drive safely.
The experience was worth it, but know your limits. It was also 103° when I was there.

we have never been to the Rockbox. We love quaint theaters in small towns. This venue is perfect!!. We saw 7 Bridges - a Eagles tribute band and they were nothing short of fantastic. The staff at the Rockbox are so great and accommodating. Bathroom impeccably clean. we are returning in April for the Heart tribute band and we can't wait!

We came last year 2021 and knew we had to come back. Peach wine is amazing, so is there frozen peach wine. We will definitely be back!

Very nice park. Camping Sites are mainly level and you get a lot of services for your dollar. It is next to an airport which has small planes taking off. The pool wasn't open yet but it looks nice. Huge dog park. Plenty of places to walk.

My husband and I did a wine tasting and got a charcuterie board to eat while we tried the different wines. The food was great as well as the wine. I really liked that there are designated areas for adults only and a separate area for families. The staff was very helpful and nice.
