We walked every morning at 730am first week of May 2022. The view was outstanding and great breeze coming of the lake.

View was good. Most of the view is blocked by the boat houses. Food very average Service was excellent.

Wonderful park. Was able to do a free 10 minute drive through to figure out if we liked it or not. Was able to write down what sites we like when we return with our camper. Staff at front was very kind.

This was a great place for a easy morning hike and also just a place to sit for awhile listening to the waves.

There are several hiking paths that lead you to the top and you have a nice view of the lake. It was fun.

Our family of 16 had a great time on the lake with our pontoon boat rental. 4 hours, beautiful day, slide, the kids had a great time. All went well with the marina Suntex rental people. I only take away one star because the ladder, a design of the boat not the rental people, was difficult for older family to get down but especially up and some did not try. Getting in the water would've been more fun, but we would do it again.

I was looking for places to go to while on vacation. I found this place and decided to give it a try. Went on an educated tour of the property and then went inside and saw native American items and other items from older times around the area.

Due to high water damage many of the Core of Engineers parks are mostly shut down with only small areas available. Cranes Mills Park is well taken care of with a nice view of the lake. Only one section is available. Many of the rv pads are not level so bring your leveling blocks. I actually needed more than one set for my front tires.

If you like to fish there is a fishing dock about a half block away if you stay at Loop One. It has a hole cut in the middle and is set up for crappy. Lots of rocks off the sides of the dock so be prepared to loose some hooks, etc. The depth in the middle of the dock is 25 ft. Looking at the dock from shore, the depth on the left side is 30 ft, lake side 35 ft., and right side 20 ft. I used my Deeper to get this information.

This was a nice walk. Well maintained trail. Beautiful views. I would go early morning or late afternoon. It gets hot in the middle of the day with no shade.

It is a nice little park. Water access.. only issue is It is very dated. The bathrooms are the kind that are just a hole in the ground.. They are always full of bees and spiders. It is a Tent only campground. If you prefer showers and decent toilets I would recommend Potters Creek down the road from this park.

Great experience getting Vic to acquaint me on his accommodating pontoon, stopping to soak on that little island that deer cross onto, and just an awesome overall experience of beautiful Canyon Lake!

The 3 hour tour here was the best part of canyon lake. Our tour guide John was incredible. He was very knowledgeable and passionate. It takes you through the side of the overlook damn and a complete loop. You get to see everything and amazing views and learn a lot too.
