Visited recently while Visiting Family In Central Texas. Great Little Brewery with Friendly Staff and Great Beers. I throughly enjoyed the Fireman Blonde and Axis Ipa. Highly Recommend for those visiting Blanco and Hill Country.

If you enjoy Irish whiskey and Scotch you will be right at home. They are known for their whiskey but also put out great brandy and rums! The price to do 1/2 oz pour is $3. This is definitely the way to go if you want to sample the majority of the product line. If you only can try 3 things I would try their Single Malt, Revenant Oak or Stryker, and then one of their experimental offerings. Craft cocktails are also available if you prefer that. The bartender we had was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. Made us feel welcome and never felt rushed! Once you get your whiskey head to the back library room. It has tons of sunlight and a view of the rickhouse. If you are hungry they also have a restaurant on site.

It’s a small, very nice park. We were there over Memorial Day weekend and it was very peaceful! Unless you fish or swim in the river there wasn’t much to do.

We weren’t excited to visit, but there’s not a lot to do in Blanco! We really enjoyed our visit! A fantastic collection of buggies and wagons. Plus movie souvenirs! Well worth time and admission price!

Downtown Blanco was a very pleasant visit. The courthouse in the old town square was one of the highlights. A good choice for a stop.

Love this shop. My husband & I walked around for an hour or so. Lots of cool imported furniture & metal art. We will be back.

Drinks are great but the bartender acted very inconvenienced that we are here and was rude. Not the first time it’s been the case either, sadly.

Blanco has many local, historic, and natural charms to this little town in the Hill Country. Now, it has something people will talk about more when they go to Blanco…a charming winery! Opened since this past April, owner Judith Raven is no stranger to the Texas grape and wine world. For almost 20 years, she has been experimenting with grape growing in the Hill Country near Spring Branch. The estate has about 6 acres of grape vines planted and is known for Sauvignon Blanc, Tempranillo, and Merlot. The logo on the bottles, a raven, is a nod to the owner’s last name. When we visited, there were six wines featured on their tasting menu. The 2018 Sauvignon Blanc is sourced from Sierra Foothills AVA until the Texas Sauvignon Blanc grapes are ready. It is quite crisp with some distinct peach notes. The 2017 Hill Country Tannat is quite smooth with ripe strawberry and jam flavors. The 2017 Texas High Plains Tempranillo features more spice with a smooth finish. You’ll be delighted and quite happy with the 2014 Petite Syrah/Sangiovese blend. Sourced from Reddy Vineyards, it is still drinking quite well. It is bold with nice tannic structure and is well balanced. The last Esperanza wine is a sweet Orange Muscat. Source from the Texas High Plains, it hits the spot when temperatures heat up during the last three months of the year! There is also a wine from Fly Gap that you can try called Cowboy Way. It is for those who enjoy something bold and strong in a red. We enjoyed visiting with Judith’s daughter and hearing how they came up with the name for the winery. The name Esperanza comes from Judith’s childhood and relates to many good things that came with that name on her life’s journey, starting with living on a street named such. Now, Blanco has more good things going for it with the addition of this winery in the area. Inside the tasting room one will find tables and assorted cozy areas to sit and sip and relax as they enjoy their visit. There are also tables and chairs outside to enjoy the lovely warm fall temperatures of late. There is new artwork on the walls for sale by local artists making the space even more inviting and interesting. All in all, the space makes you feel right at home. Stop by and check it out for yourself. You just might find some new wines you enjoy and make sure to keep checking in from time to time, because there are more wines planned to be released. Cheers!

We stopped in here to browse on a Saturday afternoon and had the place to ourselves! Lots to see. Lots of dishware. Got a terrific deal on a Fostoria Americana Ice Bucket...best price I found in 15 years!

Apparently the state park was full. Spent a short time at this nice, city park. Some good shade. Couple of places to hang out and eat or just pass the time.

The course is fun and requires thinking about almost every shot's placement. Tee boxes, fairways, and greens were in great shape. Why not 5 stars? I was surprised by the staff's unpleasant attitude. I identified myself as a first timer in the pro shop and disappointed with the casual attitude of the pro shop staff. I also found the starter to be, while not exactly rude, very casual about being helpful. Found it funny that I checked in at 12:20 for a 12:40 tee time. When I travel 3 hour round trip to the middle of nowhere and pay relatively high greens fees, I would expect a more pleasant reception. But the course was excellent.
