What travelers are saying
- Gran7Crossett1,562 contributionsWhat a grand experience. We found the service Hearst. We stayed at property so we’re able to enjoy the gardens from different vantage points. The lights are pretty at night. The boat ride gives a whole mother perspective. - jd0c81Longview, TX1 contributionTo our surprise and delight we taken on an immersive journey not only into the history of this beautiful historic home, but also into the incredibly intriguing life of the woman for whom the mansion was built. Her intellect, fortitude and creativity were a remarkable testimony to the magnificent way she managed this prestigious piece of property!Written March 22, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - AABerryAustin, TX148 contributionsThe grounds are lovely, staff is extremely friendly, and the museum has a nice exhibit (March 2023) but the guided tour of the mansion was WAY too long and detailed. There just isn’t much to see and I feel like they try to drag it out. A self-guided tour is sufficient. Also, the cafe has very little. I would definitely go back in late spring or summer to see the garden again if in Nashville again at that time of year.Written March 18, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - beegalIowa City, IA153 contributionsPretty quirky, seeing the Parthenon in Nashville. The park is a pretty setting for it and don't miss the photos of what it looked like when it was built for the Exposition.Written March 1, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Charli SLansing, MI74 contributionsVery easy hike through woods and partial on blacktop. Trail goes all around lake. Wildlife to new seen owls, eagles, ducks and cranes.Written February 20, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - P J AveryEdmond, OK884 contributionsEnjoyed the park, seeing all the different monuments. The walkway highlighting the Tennessee history was a great introduction to the state museum which is right across the street. Great view of the State Capitol. Only issue is parking. It may be difficult if there is alot going on in the Farmers Market.Written March 17, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - luckycharmsforbreakfastCleveland, OH9 contributionsEvery trip to Nash includes an excursion to PW parks. The big steps can't be missed and check out Quiet Point for a moderatly-difficult hike to the top of the ridge. You're in the country while still in the city. Perfect!Written December 1, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Annie KPhiladelphia, PA65 contributionsThis modern zoo has some really carefully crafted exhibits, a diverse species collection, many ways to see the work being done in conservation, informative shows, and awesome behind the scenes opportunities.Written August 19, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Adrienne CNew York City, NY186 contributionsBeautiful surroundings, right on the river and under the pretty foliage. Paths are easily marked and well maintained. - Jeremy CAtlanta, GA745 contributionsA nice place to take a stroll or sit and watch the river, but not as nice as other riverfront parks, such as the one in Chattanooga.Written September 17, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Keke LNew York City, NY2,111 contributionsThe greenery, the sun, the water and the ducks made for a perfect day. We just sat, took in the sites and talked. It was the perfect setting for this.Written April 30, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- NorCal-traveler08Orangevale, CA1,849 contributionsWe found this park near Vanderbilt University and it has a great play ground, tables/benches, and a sea monster with mosaics. The sea creature is amazing and huge. We loved walking around to see all the unique pictures in the sea creature. Over 1,000 community volunteers restored it in 1988. There is a plaque near the tail explaining the project. Our kids loved the playground and there are plenty of benches for parents to sit on.Written May 24, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Tonya SyersCanton, GA163 contributionsThis a great place for a moderate hike. There is a wonderful display of all kinds of animals inside. There is also a gift shop and bathrooms. There is a two mile loop and other options. This is my favorite place to hike with my kids and fiancée when I travel home!Written February 4, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - klutzWestBendWest Bend, WI668 contributionsWe never entered downtown Nashville this way, but would do it again. Free parking and walk over gorgeous pedestrian bridge. Nice place to stroll without craziness of Broadway.Written April 27, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - CormsyCalgary, Canada178 contributionsRecommended by a local. Located above the Science centre. Free to access. You can read about some history, plan a picnic, or go for a walk or run around it. Gave some decent views of downtown. There is a visitor centre, but we did not go in. Parking is limited.Written March 30, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
