- Chander_62Cardiff, UK444 contributionsHelen’s Hill Estate was the second stop on our wine-tasting tour of the region. We visited with our daughter from Melbourne, our other daughter and her husband from Saudi Arabia, and my wife and me from Wales. The sommelier was incredibly helpful, guiding us through the various wines and explaining their production process in detail.
A few wines stood out to us, and we couldn’t resist purchasing a selection of sparkling and still wines to take home. It was a delightful experience, and we’d highly recommend a visit and wine tasting here.
We also noticed the estate had a dining area, though we didn’t have the chance to try it this time.Written January 28, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. WAs a great play and great acting. Prices are reasonable and staff are great. All volunteers apparently. I will definitely be going again. - Ian CLilydale, Australia23 contributionsWorthwhile popping into the museum every time they put up a new theme. Would be nice though if an area could provide for more permanent displays of local history even if it was on a rotational basis. Enjoyable visit.Written April 13, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Paula H379613 contributionsEasy parking, flat land beside Olinda Creek and a serene atmosphere make this a good place to stroll and think. Local aboriginal connections for those in the know. Unfortunately signs of the early European settlement here are not to be found. The first egg of Victoria's state rare and endangered bird the helmeted honeyeater was taken from this area by the Field Naturalists Club who often came to this area..Written August 1, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TravellerMelbourne, Australia17,552 contributionsMy wife and I stopped here during our recent drive from Melbourne to Marysville for a holiday of two nights.
This place is a convenient stop for a walk, with plenty of car parking slots and public toilets. We also stopped here during our drive home from Marysville.
Will use this place again in future trips.Written June 3, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I know my limits, played off the white tees and really enjoyed it. The greens were good, not lightning fast but quick enough for a course like this. Most pins were on flat sections, but I imagine they could be lightning fast with little breaks if the club wanted them to be. Lots of fairway bunkers, overall a pretty good course. I hope to play again shortly, maybe off the blues.Written December 16, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
