Its been about 3 years since Ive been on this trail, I took my bike for a ride, its a lovely peaceful track, with heaps of birdlife, and I even got to see a platypus splashing around in the creek
Listen to the birds, enjoy the old trees and the native plant life on a short or long meander along the paths which are regularly posted with distance markers to the next point.

You could actually start in Fairfield and the Main Yarra Trail and than head under Eastern Freeway at Willsmere Park Along the way are plenty of drink fountains, toilets and even bike repair stations.
Today I started out in Kew (Harp Road) and headed South to Deepdene (Whitehorse Road), On this stretch the grades are even, trees fringe the Trail and there are cafes at the end of this section.

Delightful track from Burwood Highway through to Jells Park, with bird hideaway/lookout to watch all the bird life on the water.
The path is shared by bikes and walkers so some degree of awareness is required.

Ride, run, jog, walk the dog, listen to the birds or just enjoy the peaceful surroundings next to the creek, this park is a little gem in the middle of suburbia.
Kalang park, which follows Gardiners Creek through Blackburn, is a great place to walk or ride through bushland in the suburbs.
