Our river boat portion was cancelled due to weather but they provided a really great tour with lunch and refunded a portion of our fee due to the cancelled boat. Particularly loved our Sun Studios tour, a must when visiting Memphis. Pick up from the hotel made this an easy & efficient tour for us, Sam was full of local knowledge & advice. At the end of the tour we were dropped off at a recommended restaurant right by our hotel - perfect. Tour guide Taylor did a great job explaining Beale Street’s history & answering any questions we had. I wanted to experience this area & so glad I did it this way. I will say, we only did about 1/2 the tour in about 4 hours because of all the stops we made along the way - a snack at Gus’, a drink and goat sighting on Beale Street, watching the ducks at the Peabody…. - prlasalaPenns Grove, NJ1 contributionWe consider ourselves frugal. The VIP tour was worth the cost. At the Graceland Center we met our guide John. We were given headphones that were connected to his microphone so we hear every word of the tour. A bus took us to the mansion. John took us through each room and building painting a picture of what daily life was like for Elvis and his family. He shared many stories with great detail. Not just a story teller though, as many questions were easily answered. He then took us to the archive building where we could look at some of Elvis’s personal items. The bus returned us to the Center where John took us through the museum’s displays of autos records, awards and costumes. At the end of the tour we headed to Vernon’s for lunch which was included with our tour. After lunch we toured Elvis’s planes. The pass was good all day so we could go back to revisit any part of the museum or estate. Shout out to John for a great tour. Could have done with the trying to talk to the other side stuff.
