As NT members parking was free and we just roamed around the beach and nature reserve for a few hours, just enjoying the peace and tranquility, together with the great views across the bay and Old Harry rocks.
Shell Bay
#3 of 4 Nature & Parks in Studland
From the NT Car Park up by the toll ferry, there is a lovely new walk way that leads across water, through trees - almost like a mangrove swamp - to the sand dunes and down to the beach.
... with toilet facilities and cafe's also catering for the disabled, along with the naturist beach, which is quite a trek from the main road through the sand dunes but worth it if you want to get back to nature.

There is so much to do and many activities for families, beautiful beaches to visit where you can search for fossils, amazing views (old Harry rocks, Durdle door, Lulworth cove) and the nature is simply breathtaking.
I can highly recommend Durdle Door the beach is easily accessible from the car park and the gentle waves make a wonderful place for a swim at Christmas, yes, icy cold, but fresh.
