What travelers are saying
- Sharyn OSark, UK10 contributionsFavourite place in the worl because it was where I went as a child almost every weekend.
Not much gourmet food, but it’s horses for courses.Written February 24, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Lovely sandy beach, sheltered and ideal for families. Pub nearby serving hot food, the take away options were limited, perhaps as it was early in the season. Amusements were nearby if required, but we chose the opposite direction for a quite stroll along the beach and nature reserve. The hides on the reserve are difficult to get to because of coastal erosion.Written March 24, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - alistairbuddBerkhamsted, UK304 contributionsWe enjoyed a great walk out around warren point , some of it is on the beach due to erosion of the path . But still great views across to Exmouth . Oh a hardly any people . A magical place if you enjoy coastal scenery .Written July 20, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It was £3.20 for 2 hours parking, plenty of places to eat and drink. I would recommend cream scones from Gays Creamery - they were delicious!Written September 8, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Chris BStevenage, UK116 contributionsThe Lawns and Water are central to Dawlish and include both the river and pools with the famous Black Swans and the lawns which run through the centre of Dawlish town next to the river making a relaxing area to walk away from the traffic. It's also a place to enjoy a picnic or a cream tea from Gay's Creamery (cream first). The whole area is clean and well maintained with no litter or graffiti. If you visit in the place in the evening there are lights in place as well. Finally, don't forget the aviary and duck house.Written September 19, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Tiizzy1993Rockbeare, UK11 contributionsA lovely area to just take a stroll or a good walk. Short or long walks. Great for dogs. It was a dull day but still a Spectacular view over the estuary to Exmouth. What a gem with Teignbridge Bean to end our walk. Great hot chocolate and coffee. Lovely sausage rolls and vegan rolls. Will certainly be visiting againWritten November 27, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Kam canRoyston, UK2 contributionsCompact & the coin system is universally used for all ride within the perimeter. NOTE, this does not include the go-karts which are just outside the fence line.Written June 8, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - DavidManchester107Manchester, UK797 contributionsPart of Safari Adventure Golf. The food kiosk provides a great view of Dawlish Black Swans. If you are not into Crazy Golf sit outside with a cuppa and enjoy the surroundings.Written October 26, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jacks1961Exeter, UK69 contributionsWe received a warm welcome upon arrival, once introductions had been made, we then had to sign the authorised paperwork, which made me feel very much at ease knowing the kids couldn't just roll up & play themselves without adult permission.
After a very easy for all age groups to understand safety briefing & ensuring their safety gear was as it should be, the players were led to the "Splat Field" which is a short distance away from the registration area.
When the boys came back, they were exhausted but really happy with the gameplay & wanted to book in again immediately. I should add, that although the kids came out with splat paint over their clothes, it all came off in the wash! The kids also said that although they got splattered, it didn't hurt!
It was really great to hear that next season Splat Attack will be offering memberships, which will mean it gets cheaper the more the kids play. A definite win win situation for me as I managed some chill time while the kids played. We will definitely be back next year!!Written October 30, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Was so lovely to have the 1-1 advice and guidance rather then being in a big group... this makes ashcombe stand out above the rest. The price was so much more reasonable then local competitors so we will definitely be looking at 50 shots next time with the good price. We will definitely be requesting Justin going forward for his time and patience... can't fault himWritten August 28, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Anne G9 contributionsHired bikes yesterday, lovely flat cycle ride to Exeter. Great views and refreshment stops along the way. Customer Service at the cycle hire second to none.

Thank you.Written March 26, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Two teenagers and two adults really enjoyed the 3hrs we were there painting various items from a dragon to a heart trinket box. The price you pay is for the colouring, glaze and kiln fire overnight. You collect the next day. Remember that so you visit at the beginning of a holiday or could come unstuck!
