Visiting Inis Oírr was made extra special by the beautiful seaweed bath experience at Annette's relaxing island spa. I felt the huge benefit of the deep detox and relaxation it offered. Annette is the kindest host and generously invited us to rest afterwards with a cup of tea in her relaxation area with a stunning view. I felt deeply cared for - my highest recommendation when visiting the aran islands!!

Brid toured us around the Small Aran Island at the mouth of Galway in her wagon. She was full of knowledge and had a delightful personality! I would highly recommend using her as your tour guide. A truly fun experience!

Worth the trip to tour the Inis Oirr! We chose to take a horse taxi once there, but you have the option to walk or rent a bike (Inis Oirr is the smallest of the 3 islands). Our tour guide, like all, was a local and was extremely knowledgeable about the island. He explained what island life is like there (much different than you might think) and was a wonderful guide. He took us to the highest point of the island to some old ruins, and we were free to explore from there. It didn't hurt that we went on an absolutely perfect day, but even if it was cloudy or raining I would still enjoy the trip. There is a ship wreck on the beach to visit, local churches to see, and don't forget to stop at Flaherty's pub for a pint. 13/10 would recommend
