Douglas Lake

Beautiful lake for fishing, boating, skiing, tubing and family fun.
It is quite bitter-sweet because my family lost the majority of our ancestral land (granted to our ancestors after their service in the Revolutionary War) to the TVA and eminent domain.

The ladder on the Bentley pontoon with the 115 motor was bigger than boat ladders usually are and helped our older family members get in and out of the water with ease.
The kids had a blast tubing, and floating around in the pontoon.

Forbidden Caverns Sevierville 8.8 mi away
#6 of 71 things to do in Sevierville
Our tour guide was extremely knowledgable about all the different rock formations and led a fairly large group with some small children through the caverns with ease.
This is worth doing anytime but would be perfect for families on a less than perfect weather day.
