- MissPerfect_USADenver, CO35 contributionsA great park with two great bridges for photo ops. Went back there 3 times in a week. - Crystal W4 contributionsA small group of us decided to go horseback riding while on vacation last week, including my 9-year-old daughter who had never ridden before. We were allowed to look around the stables, and even got to see one of the horses having their feet cleaned out.
I was a little surprised that there wasn't much instruction given prior to getting on the horses, and heading out on the trail, especially since we all registered as beginning riders. But, the horses were very mild and seemed very well trained to keep all of us safe. The staff who got us ready were very patient and very helpful in getting us on our horses, though, before heading out.
We got to talk with the owner, who happened to be there for a summer camp. He was super happy to share some of the information about the property and the area around us, though. It was nice to know a little more of the history.
All of us enjoyed the experience, and the team of people who took care of us. The path we took had some nice views of some of the natural wooded areas around the stables. It was worth the money for us, and would absolutely do it again!Written July 14, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Coming from someone who saw the original Broadway Play over half a century ago, I can assure you that this performance was every bit as good! We bought these tickets months ago and I'm glad we did because it was a sell-out and those front row seats were an unbelievable vantage point! Kudos to the entire cast!Written August 23, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Sandy DZeeland, MI334 contributionsVery nice winery. Our server was excellent, answer our questions, provided 5 different tasting for free and offered us crackers and a bite of cheese as a palate cleanser. You could choose an additional 5 tastings for only $5.00. The attached gift shop and fudge counter were fun to look at and a nearby, walkable antique shop was cute too.Written February 22, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - journalmytripsGeorgia717 contributionsWe were not able to visit the tower which is closed till the end of the month. However we were able to visit the house. Dustin related a history of the house and the Homestead Act from the New Deal in the 1930’s while we sat in the parlor and were able to ask questions. I was not familiar with this New Deal program which was administered by the Dept. of the Interior and the Dept. of Agriculture. There were over 100 of these types of homestead spread throughout the country. The house was built with local materials…pine and stone and is very solidly built. As you drive along the road to the house you can view other homes from that era. Around 200 are still in this area.Written May 24, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Megan14 contributionsThis was our second time staying at Fairfield Glade and we enjoyed it again. Crossville is just down the road. Bunker's Pub has awesome food, beer and live entertainment on a Saturday night. We really enjoyed out night out there. We had a great meal at Casa Grande and a delicious coffee at Grinder House. We ate breakfast in our room, but were disappointed when we saw how great the food looked at Grinder House. We had a great afternoon at Cumberland Mountain State Park. It was an easy hike with beautiful scenery. We can't wait to go back!Written January 29, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - harryh409Crestview, FL422 contributionsWe have never been to the speedway before while visiting Crossville and glad we did. It was a pleasant night doing something that we have never done before and that was go to the races watching the cars round the dirt track. - Chasity & JasonLittle River, SC261 contributionsLove the scenery around the park! Watching the river run down the side of the walking path and just enjoying the beautiful outdoors. Would not recommend screaming and crying at a lovely little snake in their natural home like I did but would recommend enjoying the beauty of the nature.Written April 3, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - David WCrossville, TN578 contributionsIf it's your first time visiting this area and you're traveling I-40, get off at Exit 320 northbound and follow the signs, down the road next to Stonehaus Winery (some local high school in this road). This info center is a great stop for information on area sites (particularly outdoor). The Ranger was also very helpful in answering questions about local museums, parks and other sites, particularly downtown...don't miss downtown.Written December 23, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Chasity & JasonLittle River, SC261 contributionsMy fiancé and his mother are Crossville natives and were hurt by how much the flea market has changed. Of course we enjoy many flea markets and the variety of items they offer. We made a few great purchase helping locals. Wonderful handmade lemonade (that I drank from the rest of the day), a great variety of magnificent smelling candles and a few nicknacks in between. Only regret is not buying the gorgeous tomato they had (don’t think they’d handle car ride home well)Written April 3, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Bear570 contributionsWhat an awesome General Store with lots of antiques as well. We purchased several items including a 100 year old classic book!
