Superb range of goods for sale, excellent fruit and vegetables, super cheeses, meats, bread and cakes, well worth a visit for these, but be sure to visit the restaurant, can get busy, but food is very good.
What a lovely day we had only going for coffee until we seen the menu, food was great, the farm shop beautiful loads of fresh vegetables lovely hams cheese, and all sorts of gifts, my niece came out with a big cof...

The walled garden was still so very nice for this time of year, once again beautifully kept by what appeared to be a great many volunteer ladies.

Great place to enjoy a walk and the Leicestershire countryside whilst taking in the amazing engineering of the locks and the inlcined plane well worth a visit two great pubs as well!!!
A wonderful day out , we had a wonderful organiser for our U3A group.We had a pleasant canal boat trip ,a lovely lunch and then enjoyed walking up the locks and watching how they work ,fascinating.

Easily spend a day here with a picnic, playing in the outdoor play area, piglet racing, pony rides, walking to the witch house, nature walks, etc. Very impressed, the kids loved it and will return again!
... and see there was a spooky tractor ride, pick your own pumpkin and carve it, make your own wand to use in the Witch’s house, spooky story telling, a spooky walk and even the maze was decorated for the occasion.

It has a large spire that can be seen from a distance as you walk around.

The children were also able to see and pet the animals- donkeys, piglets, rabbits, sheep, ponies, alpaca etc and play in the indoor play area, while we enjoyed refreshments from the cafe.
This was our second visit, we will be visiting again, £5 entry and £2 for food (optional) brilliant play areas, and lovely fresh food and homemade cake in the cafe.

We were made very welcome by the tour guide who was vey knowledgeable and so enthusiastic that our hour long tour lasted much longer.
A walk through the woodland and formal gardens followed along with sitting to enjoy the sun and gardens.
