Great historical informative tour about BMW manufacturing plant in USA.
Robots are doing heavy or sometimes delicate work. Humans still have to program the robot’s computer. I like the 10 hour days and breaks plus shared job routine for the humans.

This is a very nice small museum for RR buffs. You are given a guided tour by a very enthusiastic senior citizen who is a RR "junkie". The history of the RR in Spartanburg was explained in terms that will catch your interest in the unique history of this town. A donation is requested and worth it and there is plenty of free parking. The grounds are maintained by the city and are spotless and kept neat and tidy. A must see when in Spartanburg.

This place is an excellent option for children seven and under. Even our nine-year-old kid had fun entertaining his toddler brother.
This is a fantastic place because it is both fun and educational. The tactile experience helps them learn while they play.
There is a very large water table with multiple activities for them to play around with. My kids probably could’ve spent the entire time there alone.
There are multiple stations for building things. Among the other options is a railroad table, a tree house , a cafe, a medical station and a play grocery store.
This place has a crafts room which is used for both visitors and for camps but they set up during the summers.
It’s a very good value and essentially located. There is on street parking and a garage across the street with the first two hours free. They offer military discounts too!
We have been to many children’s museums and multiple states and this one is one of the better ones for very young kids.

Hidden away on the second floor of the Mosely building at the Chapman cultural center, I only found it by accident when I went to the information desk to ask about an upcoming event. Staffed mainly by volunteers the museum has some very informative exhibits on local history including the camp croft military base and the rise and fall of the mills in the area.
Staff are welcoming and friendly and the displays are well laid out with good signage to explain what you are looking at.
    Well worth a visit.

Located in an old church, this multi-floor building housed the art work and studios of a nice number of local artists. We ended up purchasing a piece of art due to it's uniqueness and as a great way to remember our stop in Spartanburg

The Spartanburg Art Museum is a fantastic cultural experience. It is a gem in the rough with an incredible staff. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to a tour of their exhibits.
