They have live bands, restaurants, SI Bikes (bike rentals), hermit crab races each week, fishing competitions off the dock for children, ice cream shop, souvenir shops, and a view that is awesome.
Mr. Todd does a great job organizing the day and the other kids activities too (hermit crab racing and family fun day).

While visiting kiawah I took my wife, our 2 young kids and my parents on a sunset sail with Capt Walt and Melanie on their sailboat ‘Dororthy’ and it was a terrific evening and a highlight of the trip.
Walt was the perfect captain, patiently answering every question one of my family members had (her nickname is 'the interrogator' LOL).
