Almost 60 miles of bike trails on an island 5 miles wide by 12 miles long-----paradise!!!! Biking on the beach is awsome and the nature trails are educational and amazing.
My family gets together for a reunion every two years at Hilton Head and, without a doubt, my favorite part of the trip is the chance to park the car and get on a rental bike to explore the fantastic bike trails.

The park is very woodsy and kid friendly, so they can play tag, climb trees, and just have some fun.
The playground also does a good job incorporating the nature and Oak trees in Harbor Town.

And the upland portion of the park has a nice boardwalk through a marsh and shrubland where warblers, wrens, vireos, cardinal, ibises, herons, hawks, gnatcatchers and woodpeckers can be found.
An absolute gem for history buffs and nature lovers.
