We come to the island once a year during the Thanksgiving week and every year go the Outfitters to rent the bikes for our family.
The biking trail network allows you to get to some lovely locations and explore the island.
Maps are available everywhere and the official trail signage is really decent.

We enjoy hiking here so much that we come back every time we vacation on Hilton Head Island.
The parking can be occasionally tricky even though the circular parking lot offers many spots. Maps and information are available. The trails are easy to follow. You can adjust the length of the walk to your ability and circumstances. The ibis pond is a frequently chosen destination.
The nature is beautiful here and the landscape changes with the tides.
The history of the island is provided by the entrance on a historic marker.

A must if you visit Harbour Town, this views are great and the museum is very interesting and means you stop up every flight of stairs so the climb to the top doesn’t seem as far. This is a cheap way to kill an hour or 2 .

Very clean and family friendly beach. We stayed at Royal Dunes and was able to walk to the beach in about 10 minutes. Not many shells, but nice white sand and clean. We will for sure be back!!!!

Very informative site to visit. There are plaques all around for you to read and get a better grasp on the history of our state and nation that occurred there. I would say it is worth the visit, especially if you are in the area.

This is a nice outdoor mall and park area , very pleasant to stroll. There are places to shop and dine. There is a playground and park to walk and rest. Nicely decorated for every season but specially beautifully for Thanksgiving and Christmas season.

Not much left, but makes me glad I live in modern times. I can't imagine living in a house made of oyster shells and sand. Very little parking. There are plenty of signs explaining the ruins. The setting is nice and shaded.
