What travelers are saying
- gordon fanProspect, CT107 contributionsLove the market! You can find anything really here!!! I got myself a mug, basket, purse, charcuterie board and Christmas ornament. Some prices are higher on items than others, so shop around. One vendor there sold lemonade, it was delicious, my husband and I went back twice because it was so delish.Written May 8, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Nancy W1 contributionI go to Charleston a few times a year and always try to plan first Friday so that I can visit the studio and enjoy the activity that goes on then. What a gem this place is. The layout of the studio is very inviting to display the varied types of art. The owners are always engaged and it is a treat to see artists working on their projects and discussing it with patrons.Written April 18, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- saraaburdKey Largo, FL7 contributionsMeyer Vogl Gallery is the best fine art gallery I’ve ever visited. The energy is wonderful and you instantly feel at ease when you walk through the doors. The art is as wonderful as the staff. They are kind and so helpful, whether it’s finding the perfect painting or sharing their favorite recs for lunch in town. 10/10 recommend a visit during your next trip to Charleston.Written September 28, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Lolly’s LookNew York City, NY12,813 contributionsThe Chalmers Street cobblestone area is a throwback to the 1800s when horse and carriages traveled on these rocky roads. Chalmers Street is in the French quarter and historic homes line the street.Written October 29, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Lynn8894Charlotte, NC105 contributionsPark at a meter on Calhoun and check out the Halsey, which is free to the public and has rotating exhibitions throughout the year If possible check out their opening nights (6:30-8:00) which are $5 for non-members with an open bar. Artists often provide a talk the next day. The student galleries are also fun to stroll through...you never know where talent will rise to the surface!Written August 24, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

We had an afternoon doing some therapy shopping at this Mall, it's got a fair selection of retailer's and 3 deparment stores, a resonable selection of fast food outlets, toilets can be fond in this location. After roaming around the stores, it didn't take to long to find some bargains from the clearance rails!! Loads of free parking all around the Mall. Easy to get to by bus, if your coming from central, bus no 30 or 33 takes you right there.Written March 2, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - 1234texasSeabrook, TX2,277 contributionsThis mall is highly rated in a city full of wonderful historic properties. It has a large footprint and many nice antiques. Most of the pieces are "smalls," there are a few sculptures and some good furniture pieces. There are many silver dealers and a few good china and glass dealers. There is very little good art.
The staff is good and helpful. Parking is in front of the mall on a very busy highway--back into the slots if you can.Written November 6, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Terrie JCharleston, SC3,672 contributionsThis gallery has a number of artists throughout. There is a First Friday Art Walk and quite a few of the artists will be in the gallery. There are 6 rooms with art in all of them. There are featured artists each month. This gallery also has jewelry. This is an excellent gallery to visit.Written September 7, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- srgaugerWest Des Moines, IA319 contributionsGreat gallery with multiple artists. Beautiful work with varying price ranges. Friendly staff who love to share their knowledge and personal interactions with the artists.Written October 3, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- RoverPInverness, UK615 contributionsPopped in on our way up King Street. We went to a few excellent galleries but this was the pick. If it wasn’t for the expense and cost of shipping to the UK we would probably have made a purchase here.
Charleston has been a bit of a disappointment in some respects but the locals are lucky to have so many fine art galleries with so many high quality paintings and sculptures to chose from.Written September 26, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Tom BLancaster, PA1,150 contributionsWhile walking through Charleston City Market we spotted a stand selling reprints that were slightly larger than postcard size. My wife likes to make collages so we decided to pick some up. Very reasonably priced. Nice selection of products.Written June 3, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- psudinoWeehawken, NJ3,668 contributionsI did not purchase anything when I stopped by but my flight was very delayed so instead of waiting at the airport I wandering around Charleston for a few hours and checked out most of the King Street stores. This one was one of the more unique stores. It may have the perfect item or nothing that interests you at all. I would try and put a label on the kind of store, but I cannot think of a word besides eclectic. It is a not a required out of the way sort of place, but it is a nice non-chain store with a staff that takes pride in their looks.Written July 6, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- lprophaterKiawah Island, SC14 contributionsIn the heart of the historic district, Charleston Crafts was chosen by USA Today as one of the top ten craft stores in the US. Everything is handcrafted in South Carolina and sold daily by one of the exhibiting artists. A must stop on your list when visiting Charleston.Written August 7, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- William H2 contributionsStaff was friendly and knowledgeable. Art was world class. Will come back again. The building was 17th centery and fascinating.Written June 5, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Barbara S156 contributionsThis was nearly hidden from us. It is full of impressive art that my camera can not even come close to sharing fully.Written February 15, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
