Great brewery to hang out at in Charleston. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. They make you feel like a local. There’s a nice selection of beer and they also have wine for anyone in your group who prefers that. Palmetto frequently has live music in their outdoor area with plenty of seating. This is a nice spot for a visit while in town.

It's been over a year since was in Charleston, we were staying almost across the street so a visit to The Griffen was in order.

Still the same inside a 'planned'?? messy?

dollar bills all over everything walls ad ceiling.

Small place, but still busy. Go on off hours if want to get in.

Food is different than most in the area. Yes, they have Fish and Chips, but they also have a Hot Dog.
Besides being casual the food is just plain better then most in the area..without being different with extra or unusual seasonings....Theirs is different because it's simpler and better.

Yes here is a bar and they have a selection of beer.
Prices are very reasonable....We considered ordering takeout and eating where we were staying....

I think my wife and I lucked out as we started our meal just before the end of Happy Hour. Her wine and my beer were pretty reasonable.

The Brick is a big sports bar, and it was pretty full by the time we finished our meal. Our service was pretty good, and there were plenty of screens showing different events. Unfortunately, we left before the national broadcast of the Ravens game started.

Both of our entrees came with a large side of shoestring fries. The fries were tasty, but they definitely could have been hotter. My wife had the chicken cheesesteak, served with brick cheese, which looked like melted American to me. She ate most of the large portion.

I had the drunken chicken club, which had a slight bourbon glaze, minus the bacon. I liked my sandwich and was able to finish it. My sandwich would have been a little better with a little more glaze.

With tax and tip, dinner ran about $55.

Color us surprised! We were taking a ride on a rainy afternoon and kinda fell into this place. It is first and foremost a dive bar. Very small and very dark. You order from the bar and they give you one of the buzzy things and then you go pick up your food from a counter outside the kitchen.

My husband got the royal American burger and fries. I asked them to make me a grilled cheese sandwich - which was not the menu. No sweat. Everything came out hot and delicious. Best fries we’ve had in Charleston.

This place isn’t for everyone, but it was perfect for us!

Friendly servers & good food to be had at Salty Mike's; Although a bit of a dive bar ambiance, the crab soup is delicious and cocktails were on the mark! We had gone to several other places with $$$ but the food just was lousy this visit.

Something from the past but still relevant. We saw a fantastic jazz set and the place was packed. 6 pm start too. No food but good pours on the drinks. Friendly crowd

We had been past this many times but this was our first time attending. We arrived just before the start at 8 and we didn’t have any problems getting in. Grabbed a beer and off we went. Saw three acts, with the Dead South as the main attraction. We loved it. Small enough venue and $22 a ticket was good value. Will definitely go again.

We popped in after walking around Charleston. Bartender was friendly and engaging . Expresso martinis were great and made with fresh egg white.

While staying for a week at the Resort we had indulged in great food in Charleston and at The Fish House at the resort. We found ourselves hungry late one evening and decided to eat at the resort pub. I was surprised to discover very good chicken tenders and a delicious caprese salad. And from the eye test the burgers looked really good too. Nothing fancy but good for pub food and a few beers. Service also was excellent.

Super fun hole in the wall- beer, wine, and small snacks. We hung out here while we waited for a table at a nearby restaurant.

Service from Vivian was top notch!! We had a great time. Very relaxing and fun environment.

Lovely hotel bar. Piano playing Christmas music set the mood. Everyone having a good time. The service is excellent. Probably not the place for young children. This is an upscale locale for adults to enjoy some time.

Thrilled we found this well kept secret in the heart of Charleston for a welcome event during our recent 4-day jam packed weekend. What a great space with tremendous character. The indoor space was comfortable and easily accommodated our group. The outdoor space was a bonus for photo ops and allowed everyone to find their favorite place to enjoy a beverage and enjoy a wonderful evening with family and friends. By far the best place in all of Charleston to host a private event.
