Such a pretty natural arch and nice setting. Enjoyed the little park it sets in and the opportunity to view the lake beyond.

The tour was beautiful. We did the sunset spray cruise. Completely worth the time and money. Narration was good. Captain has a sense of humor. Only advice, get there early and sit on the right side of the boat. Lol

We loved this short loop. We drove but would be great for walking or biking as well. They do block the road off at various times through the week so it’s safer for non-motor traffic. Black Rocks was beautiful and fun for cliff jumping. Water was very cold compared to other parts of superior but fun if you like more recreation!

Ah, Mighty Mac. Always a pleasure to view and cross. Read up on the construction from 1954-1957. Quite an impressive story! My parents lived in St. Ignace from 1954-1964, and watched Mighty Mac go up. I stayed recently in the Super 8 with a bridge view, and crossed it when going home. If you go south over the bridge, be sure to pull into the park for a "troll's view" of its underside.

Since this state park is only accessible via bike, walk, or carriage (no mator vehicles), it feels that much more intimate and charming. Carriage tour goes through part of it and if you have a bike, you have have a very good explore.

Go on the platform and watch the locks in action. The museum is a must see. It really gives you a lot of information on how the locks actually work, with hands on displays for little kids to really understand it.

Gorgeous waterfalls in the UP of Michigan. The upper falls is a short distance from parking. There is a paved walk with lookouts. A 90+ step stairway will get you up close to this large waterfall. Go down another path for a 181 step staircase gets you to a little different view from down the river gorge. The lower falls are nice but are 4 miles away. You can hike or drive, or hike 1 way and for a fee you can grab a shuttle back. The lower falls have a little longer walk. You can now access the island by a new bridge and explore the falls up close.
Back in the lot by the upper falls they have restrooms, a lodge with food and drink and gift shops. They are in the process of building more by the lower falls. Beautiful area!

We visited the 3 viewing points that were easily accessible from parking lots. This would also be a great spot if you like to get off the grid for a few days and do long hikes. Presque Isle Falls was probably our favorite of the three. We walked just under 2 miles to see the area but you could explore more or less depending on your ability. Lots of stairs. Summit peak was under a mile of walking and I can imagine would be incredible in fall colors. Many stairs here as well. Lake of the cloud was a short easy walk with beautiful scenery.

Based on the reviews that people had to wait in line, we decided to get to the park early. There were no lines and there was plenty of room on the boat, which is self guided over the wire. The water was beautiful and clear and reminds you of the beauty of nature in its purest form.

This was not my first time here, the views are amazing, what you do need to know is that the road is rough and is very steep in places, steep up, steep down but you will not get more amazing views in the area. I do hate that gift shop that was once there is gone. There is a swing at the top for taking pictures and also a bench, it's absolutely beautiful. Then there is a really nice viewing platform coming down that has a beautiful view that you can see the copper harbor lighthouse. It's stunning.

Short hike up to the peak with well maintained viewing platforms. This would be gorgeous in all seasons. Parts of the hike were more vertical with several stairs.

My husband, teenage son and I arrived at Bond Falls around 9 am and we literally had the place to ourselves. What a hidden gem this is! It's an easy walk from the parking area to a boardwalk that spans the width of the falls. Facing the falls, you can take a decently groomed, albeit rocky, trail up the right side of the falls that goes up, up, up and reveals more and more little falls. We were charmed each time we saw a new falls. It was fun, and a little bit of a workout. Facing the main falls, you can climb up the left side at your own risk. There isn't a real trail and you'll be scrambling up large boulders. My son and husband got up to the top of the main falls. I opted out and instead, watched the crayfish in the still water pond off the boardwalk. We spent about an hour there because we climbed. If you just look at the main falls, you could do it in 20 minutes or less.
