- Peg CLancaster, PA48 contributionsPine creek trail is lovely, easy to ride, and just beautiful! We will definitely try to go again! Would like to try riding in the spring and/or summer next time.Written November 20, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - doclexusMedina, OH280 contributionsBeautiful overlook views of the canyon. Sadly, we were probably a week or 2 early to see the fall foliage.Written October 13, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- zodrebNew York City, NY189 contributionsThere is construction going on for the visitor's center, however there is not one but two bathrooms currently open even though the visitor's center is closed. Great view from the balcony right there beyond the parking lot, If you want to get on trails you can do that. A great place to visit. Lots of parking. We drove around to one of the other trails for the canyon and it was amazing as well.Written October 31, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - jeff77664Downingtown, PA570 contributionsWent to start park when visiting PA Grand Canyon in September. The park was pretty crowded but plenty of room to space out. Did 2 trails:
Yellow Birch Trail - pretty easy , loop trail, around 1 mile
Tauschers Trail - little steep, well marked, used with Lakeside Trail, longer than Yellow Birch TrailWritten October 2, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Just wondering if anyone knows why the fountain isn't lit at night. We were there for a week and tried every night to see the fountain lit after dark and it wasn't on.Written July 27, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TravelbugPittsburgh, PA396 contributionsAbout 40 years ago my grandmother worked in a department store in her home town. Dunhams brought all those memories of visiting her at work came rushing back. From the smell, the multiple levels that you had to use stairs for to the display cases and clothing racks. There is a small diner inside, we did not eat there though. Highly recommend walking through.Written August 15, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Barbara Molineux13 contributionsThank you to the proformer on December 13, 2022. Our group missed your performance but you were so gracious and played us two songs. Your voice is beautiful. Merry Christmas.Written December 14, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Darlene TGreensburg, PA1 contributionWe only did the look-up points, we are older and cannot walk very well unable to walk the trails or do the look-out tower, but we did enjoy the views from the look-out points. It was a very nice place to visit and would do it again, the tree colors were beautiful. There is also a small visitor center, the person working there was very helpful and pleasant to talk to gave us quite a bit of information about best places to go.Written November 11, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - podrozniczka60New Jersey14,817 contributionsSurprisingly lovely park with open space, walking trails, picnic pavilions, some recent upgrades. You can come and spend most of the day enjoying playground, basketball court, horseshoe pits and barbecued lunch.Written October 5, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - karenholbrunerMilford, DE3 contributionsBoth my husband and I have decided this is what the town of Mayberry RFD was like. The atmosphere was quiet and comfortable and townspeople were very friendly. The homes in the town were well cared for and the shops on Main Street were reminiscent of the 60s. Food at the “Steakhouse” was superb and the owner and staff spent time visiting with us.
Our main purpose for visiting was to see the “Grand Canyon of the East” and Cherry Springs state park (for the dark sky view) and it didn’t disappoint! Our next trip to the park will be later at night as it didn’t get dark until well after 10 pm.
At the time we didn’t realize there was a 60+ mile bike trail utilizing crushed limestone. Next trip we’ll be taking our bikes.
We loved the town and have told many friends they need to visit - you do too!!Written August 4, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Beautiful views from many holes. The course has a good mix of challenging and "easier" holes. Can't wait to play it again.Written September 18, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
