Quirky roadside attraction featuring a large prawn structure, perfect for a novelty photo op. Relocated by a local hardware chain, it's a fun, quick stop on a coastal drive.

- Sarah TAustralia359 contributionsUnplug! Feel the wind in your hair and soak your feet or whole body into the small watering holes in the rock pools.
Loves: sun, sand and being miles from anywhere. Cafe proximity to get icecream or a cuppa etc.
Notes: there is parking but it is limited, we typically pick our timing after the busy period when most go home.
Bring beach wear, travel with your cart full or just as we did with keys and ourselves.

- njk17Newcastle, Australia345 contributionsThe kids absolutely loved this place. We went on a sunny Sunday, but the slide lines were fairly short and the slides themselves were heaps of fun. Staff were friendly, and the other pools were beautifully maintained. There’s a lovely outlook over the river, and even the hot chips at the kiosk were better than the usual pool fare. The three hour session for $16 was well priced, we thought.Written February 19, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Shaws Bay , is a large protected water inlet, off the coastal end of Richmond River Ballina / East Ballina
Along the edge of the scenic Shaws Bay , there are different shallow sandy beaches - which are good for children
